Antoinette Taus makes showbiz comeback

Antoinette Taus is back in the country for good as she signed a three-year management contract with Viva Entertainment on Tuesday, May 13, 2014.

She used to be one of the hottest teen stars, her most memorable television project being "Anna Karenina" and "T.G.I.S." in the late nineties. Her on-screen team up with Dingdong Dantes was also one of the most followed back then, and they became real life lovers. She, however, moved to the U.S. with her family in mid-2000, at the same time breaking up with Dantes.

Taus recently visited Manila with her brother, former child star Tom, who is now a DJ. And she is staying in the Philippines longer than planned because she's now officially back in showbiz.

When asked if she's willing to do a reunion movie with Dantes, the 32-year-old actress said she's open to anything.

"Ako naman, kahit ano. Yung mga fans siguro matutuwa. Feeling ko, ang daming exciting na puwedeng mangyari, like magkaroon ng projects na reunion. I'm open to anything," she said during the contract signing, as quoted by pep.ph.

It was also revealed that she is open to more daring roles now that she's older. Is she open to the idea of being paired with Dantes for her first on-screen kiss?

"If so, baka mas maging kumportable siguro ako nun. Ang weird! I don't know... Kasi, at least, matagal na kaming magkakilala and naging kami naman talaga before. Either way, I guess whatever you do on camera is different with what you do off cam," she answered.

Dantes is currently in a relationship with "Carmela" actress Marian Rivera. Fans will surely make an issue of it if Taus will be paired with the actor.

But she revealed Dantes has told her a lot of good things about Rivera although she has yet to meet her.

"Hindi pa kami nagmi-meet [ni Marian]. Matagal na siyang gustong ipakilala sa akin ni Dingdong. Hindi nagkakatugma [yung pagkakataon]," she said.

And she also clarified that she and Rivera has no issues with each other especially because they haven't met yet.

"Hindi pa kami nagmi-meet, so wala kaming away, wala kaming problema. Yung mga tao lang ang gumagawa ng kulay na away daw kuno, pero wala namang away," she said.

On her message to Marian, she mentioned that she looks forward to meeting her.

"Sana huwag siyang magpadala sa outside forces. Sa totoo lang, I really think she’s beautiful and she’s talented. Dingdong has said a lot of good things about her to me. Naniniwala naman ako kay Dingdong. So, yun. I’m looking forward to meeting her."
