Eugene Domingo was Awarded the People’s Choice Award for Favorite Actress for her role in Ang Babae Sa Septic Tank at the recent 6th Asian Film Awards held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center on March 19, 2012.
Eugene stole the show when she received her award and got a kiss from Hong Kong actor Andy Lau, who also won the People’s Choice Award for Favorite Actor.
Aside from Eugene, another Filipino actress took home one of the major awards. Shamaine Buencamino won the Best Supporting Actress Award for her role in Niño.
Shamaine is the wife of Noni Buencamino, who is currently seen in the ABS-CBN primetime series, Walang Hanggan, where he plays the role of Miguel.

- Best Composer: Chan Kwong-wing, Peter Kam and Chatchai Pongprapaphan, Wu Xia (China/Hong Kong)
- Best Editor: Hayedeh Safiyari, A Separation (Iran)
- Best Visual Effects: Wook Kim, Josh Cole and Frankie Chung, Flying Swords of Dragon Gate (China/Hong Kong)
- Best Costume Designer: Yee Chung-man and Lai Hsuan-wu, Flying Swords of Dragon Gate (China/Hong Kong)
