Jessica Sanchez is indeed one of the most consistent contestants this American Idol season. For the top 10 performance night, she chose Billy Joel’s Everybody Has A Dream, a song she believed in and she sang it from her heart.
The result? Another standing ovation from the judges and the live studio audience.
Here’s what the judges had to say:
Steven Tyler: You’ve gone way past my judging. When God was giving out vocal chords you were so at the front of the line. I’ve got nothing to say except thank you for letting me hear you sing, baby.
Jennifer Lopez: That song was like written for you. Like he wrote that song for you a long time ago. That was the defining moment for you for me; defining song, because I really feel like that’s you, you have this dream and you’re here and you’re seizing the moment and you’re living it in every second and we all get to feel that and that’s a beautiful thing. Congratulations.
Randy Jackson: What I’m loving is doing the show, for now, 11 seasons, it takes consistency to win. Everytime you step up every week, you have to have a moment. You have a moment everytime you step on that stage and I love it. You’re flawless, it was perfect.
