Richard Gutierrez, Carla Abellana and Sarah Lahbati are set to star in an upcoming soap opera of GMA-7 titled Makapiling Kang Muli (formerly called Rancho Paradiso).
“Everything is fresh for us,” Richard said, referring to the fact that it’s the first time the three of them will work together.
Everyone was excited, especially Sarah because it’s her dream to work with Richard. During her StarStruck days, she dropped the name of the Kapuso actor when asked who she wanted to work with as a leading man.
Richard, on the other hand, only has kind words for Sarah.
“She has a lot of potential,” Richard told GMA-7’s showbiz-oriented show, StarTalk. “I’m happy to work with her.”
Just like Sarah, Carla was thankful that she will finally be working with the top Kapuso actor. The project was first revealed to her when she signed a renewal with the network earlier this month.
Richard was also excited, not just about working with his new leading ladies, but with the new project in general. He’s going to act again after being busy with hosting the recent season of Survivor Philippines. His last acting project on TV was still Captain Barbell, which was aired March to July of last year.
“Napakaswerte ko,” Richard said regarding the project. “It’s going to be an epic soap opera from GMA.”
When asked what viewers may expect from the new soap, he said that there’s a little bit of everything in it and he guaranteed that the audience will like it.
“May iyakan, may love story, may tawanan, may action,” he revealed.
Also in the cast of Makapiling Kang Muli are TJ Trinidad, Mark Anthony Fernandez and Gloria Romero. It is directed by Ricky Davao and is expected to start airing next month.
