One of my favorites from among American Idol 11 contestants, Heejun Han, just got eliminated from the show for getting the lowest number of votes last night after he sang Donny Hathaway’s A Song For You.
His elimination was quite surprising because the judges gave him a standing ovation after his Top 9 performance and all three of them only had praises for him.
Now we know that America cannot be influenced by judges. They vote for whoever pleases their eyes and ears, no matter what the judges say.
With Heejun at the bottom three were Skylar Laine and Holly Cavanagh. Holly, who sang Carrie Underwood’s Jesus Take The Wheel, was praised by judge Jennifer Lopez, calling her performance her best so far. Skylar sang Miranda Lambert’s Gunpowder And Lead, which Randy Jackson liked enough to call her a powerhouse singer.
Heejun sang for the judges’ save but they didn’t give him that chance.
