The 17th World Building and Construction Exposition (WORLDBEX) once again proved to be a success. Over 152,000 visitors flocked to the World Trade Center Metro Manila and experienced 30,000 sq. m. of booths and exhibits from local and international industry players.
“WORLDBEX leads the future of the construction industry in the Philippines by providing an avenue where local suppliers can showcase their products globally and likewise giving Filipinos an opportunity to see what the international market has to offer,” says Joseph Ang, founding chair of Worldbex Services International (WSI).
WSI, however, is just getting started. From one world-class expo to another, car enthusiasts will once again race to the World Trade Center from March 29 to April 1, 2012, 10am to 10pm, for the highly anticipated 8th Manila International Auto Show (MIAS). With the theme “Motorsports”, MIAS 2012 turns the spotlight on “Life in the Fast Lane” and the current trend of developing new and updated models of sports cars by different car brands, all designed to outride the competition.
With over 85,000 attendees annually, MIAS 2012 is bigger with 110 companies occupying the WTC, the Philippine Trade Training Center, the adjoining WTC East Wing and the specially constructed WTC East Wing B, with the total exhibit area now at 30,000 sqm. MIAS 2012 would feature the best concept cars, hybrid cars and many other automotives that will change the way we look at motoring and driving.
The highlights of this year’s MIAS include the Russ Swift Precision Driving Stunt Show, various car launches, motorsports exhibits, special demonstrations, and many more. Some of the notable events would be the Top Gear exhibit, which will feature top of the line car setups, the MD Juan World II re-enactment using Jeep vehicles, and the Philippines’ most powerful car sponsored by Motul.
Also back is a bolder and bigger amphibian truck, which the Philippine Army, Philippine Marines, and the private sector modified and improved for this year’s show. Strategic spots throughout the venue have also been transformed into bachelor pads where visitors can watch their favorite movies, mingle with the car shows models, and test drive the car of your dreams.
There will be a Gala Night for the Car of the Year Awards 2012 competition at the PTTC, hosted by the Car Awards Group, Inc. Other competitions such as the MIAS Classic and Custom Car Competition, and a car photography contest would also be held.
MIAS merchandise can also be purchased at the venue, with items such as shirts, caps, USB hubs, baller IDs, and other MIAS 2012 novelty items.
The 8th Manila International Auto Show is important since it aids in effectively boosting local car industry, especially with BPI Family Bank’s Auto Madness, which offers low interest rates for car buyers during the show.
Fasten your seatbelts and drive on over to the most exciting car show in town, where the hottest cars and the prettiest ladies convene, the 8th Manila International Auto Show this March 29 to April 1, 2012 at the World Trade Center and brace yourself for a ride you’ll never forget.
