Hollie Cavanagh chose Billy Joel’s Honesty to sing at American Idol 11 top 10 performance night.

If there’s someone we think would be with Jessica Sanchez in the finals, we really think it’s Hollie although she obviously struggled with her song tonight.

The judges’ critiques:

Steven Tyler: Hollie, one of our grand singers, you hold the notes really long and you sing so beautifully and so deep. Tonight you were a little pitchy. It seemed like you were overthinking the song a little bit, you just hadn’t sang it enough. I know in a week or so you could kill that song. But it was good. It was good.

Jennifer Lopez: You take on these big songs and that’s great because you need to do that in this competition. I know you wanna win, and I know that you can win, but at the end of the day you have to know every single note of that song and I know you guys have to learn them so quickly and everything but you have to really do that when you’re gonna do these big songs like this. Because your voice for me is what, the sound of your voice is one of my favorites in the whole competition this year. It really is. You have a beautiful-sounding voice, especially when you go to those notes so don’t distract us by going off just slightly above or just slightly below. Gotta nail those every single time.

Randy Jackson: The truth is, is that we give you guys constructive criticism because we think you can potentially be that great. And you can be that great, and everytime I see you, I’m hoping because I know you like these big singers the Celine Dions all these kind of girls, but you have to nail each of those notes.
