Tropical Storm QUIEL is already in the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR). It continues to get stronger as it moves westward at 13 kilometers per hour (kph). It is expected to intensify into a typhoon by Sunday and is forecast to hit Cagayan and Isabela.
No storm signal has been raised yet.

At 4:00 PM Today, Tropical Storm "QUIEL" was estimated based on satellite and surface data at 1,040 KM East of Aparri, Cagayan (18.1°N, 132.8°E) with maximum sustained winds of 110 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 140 KPH. It is forecast to move West at 13 KPH.
