Nicole Scherzinger Shows Simon Cowell That She Can Sing

Nicole Scherzinger belted out the part of the chorus of Whitney Houston's I Will Always Love You to prove to Simon Cowell that she could sing.

It was brought about by Simon's comment on the performance of auditionee Ivana Steelman who sang a horrible rendition of Hey, Big Spender. Simon said, “You know what Ivanna, you remind me of Nicole. I think this is exactly what I would have seen with Nicole if she had been 20 auditioning for the show for the first time. I do.”

To that, Nicole retorded, “That’s funny ’cause you can look it up online I was in a show called Popstars and actually sang Whitney Houston, I Will Always Love You."

The auditionee looked to have actually felt good on being compared to Nicole but eventually felt bad upon realizing Simon Cowell's point.
