Regal Films' Lily Monteverde and GMA Films' Annette Gozon-Abrogar have announced the cast of Temptation Island. In the lead roles are Marian Rivera, Solenn Heussaff, Heart Evangelista, Lovi Poe, and Rufa Mae Quinto. Leading men include Paulo Avelino, Aljur Abrenica, Tom Rodriguez, and Jake Cuenca.

Sarah Geronimo, who is on the cover of Yes! Magazine, finally admits her year-long relationship with Rayver Cruz in the cover story of the mag.
The relationship did not last long because Anna Dasig, one of Sarah's closest friends, found out Rayver was courting Cristine Reyes by the time he and Sarah were still on.
Even Judy Ann Santos was a witness to Sarah's heartbreak as she recalls, "She [Sarah] was hurt, very hurt. Niyakap ko siya at umiyak lang siya. Alam ko naman na ‘yong moment na ‘yon, ‘yon lang ang kailangan. Someone to comfort her,”
Cristine Reyes, on the other hand, was quoted as saying "matanda na, nakikialam pa" regarding Sharon Cuneta who reportedly talked to Rayver about the controversy.
I wonder how the megastar would react to this.
Emmy Awards might not have recognized her, but Charice is certainly making waves in some other part of the globe (at least when it comes to awards).
Recently, she was named Best New Artist of the Year by J-Wave Tokio Hot 100. That's good news because she competed with Justin Bieber, Bruno Mars, Rox, and Ke$ha for the award.
Last October, her album became certified gold in Japan. And for the past week, her shows has been a success. Japan surely loves Charice.
Sarah Geronimo is on the cover of Yes! Magazine's March 2011 issue.
The pop star princess talks about Rayver Cruz for the first time in this said issue. You wouldn't want to miss this.
Sorry for the lack of updates the past week. I went on a trip to Baguio and Benguet with some friends.

GMA-7 had a story conference this afternoon for their upcoming epicseries Amaya.
As revealed earlier, Mikael Daez and Sid Lucero are in the cast of this project as two of Marian Rivera's three leading men.
Kristoffer Martin, the young star who was allegedly removed from the cast of Nita Negrita because Barbie Forteza and Joshua Dionisio don't want to work with him, is now in Amaya. He plays a young warrior and brother to Sid Lucero and Buboy Villar.
Pinoy Big Brother Double Up housemate, Rocky Salumbides, has also transferred networks as he is in the list of cast for this coming series.
Here's the line-up of actors for the epicseries Amaya as revealed during the story conference:
Marian Rivera
Glaiza de Castro
Sid Lucero
Rochelle Pangilinan
Paolo Contis
Gina Alajar
Buboy Villar
Gardo Verzosa
Ana Capri
Roy Alvarez
Lani Mercado
Rocky Salumbides
Kristoffer Martin
Mikael Daez

Aside from Mikael Daez, it has now been confirmed by PEP.ph that Sid Lucero is also going to be one of Marian Rivera's three leading men in the upcoming epicseries Amaya.
From PEP's scoopbox: "Sigurado nang si Sid Lucero ang isa pang leading man ni Marian sa "Amaya." Present siya sa ginaganap na storycon ng epicserye ng GMA-7 ngayon."
Sid Lucero will play the role of a warrior in Amaya. Built like he is, Sid definitely fits the role of a mighty warrior from the old times.
The highlight of Sid Lucero's career had been the 2010 International Emmy Awards nomination in the Best Actor category for his role in ABS-CBN's Dahil May Isang Ikaw. And as Sid is well-known as a Kapamilya, the actor was actually first seen in GMA-7 shows such as Narito ang Puso Ko, and Hanggang Kailan. He was also in the 2005 remake of Darna, as well as in Etheria.
Local award-giving bodies have also recognized Sid's acting capabilities. He is a two-time Gawad Urian Best Actor awardee for his roles in the movies Donsol (2007) and Selda (2008). Selda also won him another Best Actor award in the 6th Gawad Tanglaw in 2008.
There's a new online flash game dedicated to the Filipina pop star Charice. It was only submitted yesterday over at http://www.onlineflashgames.com where you can play it via a pop-up window or in the main browser itself.

*Note: The advertisement takes quite a while. Just wait for the game to load after clicking on "Play."
Marian Rivera will have three leading men in GMA-7's upcoming epicserye, Amaya. Jome Silayan was first rumored to be one of the leading men. Derek Ramsay was allegedly offered the role but refused. Then Sid Lucero (the Emmy-nominated actor for his role in Dahil May Isang Ikaw) is reportedly just waiting for the contract.
But amid the speculations, a newbie actor is now confirmed to be one of Marian's leading men in Amaya.
After auditioning for the role, Mikael Daez was given a nod by the network to be one of Marian's leading men.
Mikael, 23, is a Business Administration graduate of Ateneo de Manila University, where he also finished his grade school and high school. A part-time commercial and print-ad model, he was seen on TVCs like Dole, SM, and Jollibee Champ.
Piolo Pascual was teary-eyed after going down the stage to serenade KC Concepcion with the song Ikaw ang Aking Pangarap in his concert last February 14 at the Philippine International Convention Center. KC was in the audience wearing a red dress.
After the song, Piolo went back up the stage to give a little speech. He said, "Just to let you know, that wasn't planted. It wasn't planned as well. I just thought of just singing that song and when I started, you know, thinking about the lyrics I realized just one dream I've always wanted to fulfill, and that's, of course, to be with that special someone. And I hope, I'm not being cheesy but I've always been single most of my life and I'm giving love a chance. Of course, I've always been a private person so even my admission on The Buzz was really nerve-wracking. I just did it because I felt it in my heart and I had to stand up for somebody, somebody who's really, really.... naiiyak ako..."
He then turned his back to the audience for a while before continuing, "...somebody who's been there, who showed me the true meaning of love. So thank you, thank you, Kristina."
The fans went gaga over that speech and it showed just how much Piolo's fans agree with his relationship with the megadaughter.

Kris Aquino's newest game show, ABS-CBN's The Price is Right, premiered yesterday. Aside from the fact that it's the Valentine's Day, it was also the Queen of All Media's birthday.
For her 40th birthday, the presidential sister had a medical mission in Tarlac (her hometown) last Saturday morning. She also had a private dinner in her home that night attended by her closest friends from showbiz and politics, as well as her siblings including the President himself, Noynoy Aquino.
The president even dedicated a song number to Kris, his youngest sister.
For her birthday, Kris wishes legal freedom for her and estranged husband James Yap. She tweeted:
And about an hour ago, she told Twitterworld the best gift she received:
The material gift was actually a bracelet that she tweeted about last Sunday:

Charice is so proud of her concert special on television, Charice: Home For Valentine's, shown last Sunday, February 13th, on GMA-7.
It's her very first tv special since she started her singing career years ago. And it's not just another concert made for tv, because her repertoire included songs closest to her heart, narrating the story of her rags-to-riches journey in between songs.
But aside from the fact that it's her first ever concert special, she has another reason to be proud about Charice: Home For Valentine's. According to Kantar Media-TNS National Household Ratings, Charice toppled its ABS-CBN rival show, Sharon Cuneta's Star Power, for that date. The Charice special got 24% of viewership while Star Power only got 14.9%.
With 24%, Charice: Home For Valentine's also topped the primetime ratings for February 13, 2011. It was closely followed, though, by ABS-CBN shows Rated K with 23.7% and Goin' Bulilit with 21.1%. Sharon's Star Power was at the number 7 spot.

We have all been waiting for Charice's return to Glee, actually excited for those four more episodes that the young international pop star will be on. But other fans are hoping for more. They want the pint-sized singer to be a series regular of the Fox hit show. And they're not Pinoys, mind you.
That said, Hollywood Life (who says that Charice is their favorite part of Glee season two) was able to talk to Naya Rivera at Sephora’s OPI Glee Collection launch in Los Angeles last Saturday and they had the chance to ask her if Charice will eventually be made a series regular.
"You never know," said Naya, but added that the possibility hasn't been ruled out. “It is always up in the air... I’m just along for the ride.”
Naya Rivera is also excited for Charice's comeback. “I can’t wait,” she said. “She was so sweet and a tremendous talent.”
There's an ongoing survey here on whether you want Charice to be a regular on Glee or not. I voted yes and by the time I voted, 65.19% wants Charice to be a regular while 33.97% says no. 0.85%, though, doesn't care. If you care to vote, click here.

Lady Gaga arrived at the 53rd Grammy Awards inside a gigantic egg carried by four half-naked men and escorted by a woman with a deformed face.
Many speculated that it's part of Lady Gaga's act and it was proven true when the avant-garde singer performed onstage.
Lady Gaga performed her latest single, Born this Way, for the first time to the delight of those watching the awards ceremonies. She started the performance inside the gigantic egg and eventually getting out of it to sing and dance on the stage.
Lady Gaga won the Best Pop Vocal Album award for the album The Fame Monster and the Best Female Pop Vocal Performance award for her song Bad Romance.

Charlie Green is starting to grow into a fine young man. I'm sure he'd make it into a heartthrob status given a few more years from now.
Just look at this screencap from the music video of his single A Friend Like You.
Featuring Rachel Ann Go, A Friend Like You is from Charlie's album with the same title. The album also includes such old hits like For Once in My Life, Too Young, Let it Be, Go Away Little Girl, and My Cherie Amour.

The Azkals had a victory party last night for winning the game against Mongolia last February 9 at the Panaad Park and Sports Stadium in Bacolod. The party was held at the A Venue's Kyss Superclub in Makati City.
Tim Yap was there. And it seems that James Younghusband, member of the Azkals' team and brother of Phil Younghusband, has told Tim something that the fans of Phil and Angel Locsin have been waiting for.
It can be recalled that Phil asked Angel over Twitter if she's available on Valentine's Day. The actress then replied (also on Twitter) that she's not available on the said day but added that they can try it another day.
It seems, though, that "another day" came sooner than Valentine's.
Last night, Tim Yap tweeted:
And when asked who gave him the info, he added:
Since the tweet was made last night, the said date would take place today, February 13th.
The fans are actually excited and are waiting for Angel and Phil's tweets regarding the rumored date. And coming from Tim Yap, we're guessing that its' true.

Sarah Geronimo and Martin Nievera had a very successful concert last night.
Sarah and Martin's Valentine concert at the Araneta Coliseum, What Love Is, was attended by avid fans of both singers. Sarah's fans even lined up with white roses for the singer after the concert for a meet-and-greet.
The popstar princess was full of energy as evident in this video clip of the opening number:

Billy Crawford and Karylle now joins Anne Curtis, Vhong Navarro, Vice Ganda, Kim Atienza, Jugs and Teddy as regular hosts of Showtime.
Karylle was one of the longest-staying judges. She stayed in Showtime as one of the Hurados for 13 weeks, only leaving due to self-eviction.
Karylle said it was her manager who made her do the self-eviction. She didn't know she'd be included as one of the show's regular hosts. It was actually only yesterday, after her song and dance number on Showtime, that she learned about it when it was announced on the spot.
Billy, on the other hand, joined the Hurados for a week last December 2010.
Catch Showtime in its new timeslot, Mondays to Saturdays, 10:15 AM, before Happy Yipee Yehey! at 12:15 PM.
Viva could have shown this earlier in time for Valentine's Day. Anne Curtis and Luis Manzano look good together in the new posters of the upcoming Viva Films' movie Who's That Girl? that it could have put up a good competition to the Richard Gutierrez-starrer, My Valentine Girls.
Who's That Girl also stars Eugene Domingo, Dina Bonnevie, Joy Viado, DJ Durano, and John Lapus, among others. Directed by Wenn Deramas, the movie is showing on March 2, 2011.
Two more pics after the jump.
Technology is put to good (or bad) use by Azkals hunk Phil Younghusband as he asked Angel Locsin over Twitter if she's free on Valentine's Day.
Phil and James Younghusband
The tweet was made before Phil's flight back to Manila from Bacolod where they won the game against Mongolia at The Panaad Park and Sports Stadium.
In his Twitter, Phil wrote:
“@143redangel Hi Angel! This Phil. How are you? I was just wondering if you are free for Valentines day?”
It was such a kilig moment for the netizens and everyone aware waited for Angel Locsin's reply. After some 40 minutes, Angel tweeted: "Twitterworld, kalma! :)" telling the netizens who calm down. And then she replied to Phil:
@PhilYHusband hi! this is angel☺ Congrats on your win last night! Tnx for the invite but I have work on valentines.. Let's try another day☺
Phil first expressed his interest in dating either KC Concepcion or Angel Locsin. But since Piolo Pascual has publicly admitted that KC is already taken, Phil perhaps already removed KC on his list.
It's becoming confusing, though, because Phil dropped the name of Marian Rivera as his crush during an interview with Boy Abunda in Cinema One's Eleven. He also said that it's his brother James who has a crush on KC Concepcion.
Confusing. But I guess he's just testing the waters. He's very single, and it's just on Twitter, after all.
Filipino-American Thia Megia sang her rendition of Ella Fitzgerald's Summertime in Round 1 of American Idol 10's Hollywood Week.
Thia, together with a bunch of other hopefuls, got through the first round.
Thia is not new to this kind of competition as she was a semi-finalist in America's Got Talent in 2009.
It's just sad that she seems to be a favorite of the Vote for the Worst website. But then again, I hope they change their minds when they hear more from Thia Megia. Well, not that VFTW's choice matters. But still...
For those who do not know Summertime, here's a video of Ella Fitzgerald singing it live:
Borgy Manotoc comes back to Bench as one of the brand's models.
Borgy is the grandson of the late Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos, and the son of Ilocos Norte representative Imee Marcos. Perhaps he got his fashion flair from his grandmother, Imelda Marcos who is known for her exquisite taste in fashion (and countless shoes).
Aside from modeling, Borgy is also the director of sneaker boutique Bunker, Obey flagship store Manila, and Happy Mondays Productions.
This photo of GMA-7's upcoming afternoon drama Nita Negrita has caused some negative reactions from the netizens when it was uploaded by Carlos Celdran on Twitpic, but more so when Chuvaness dedicated a blog entry to the pic.
Some call it offensive, some call it racist.
But come on, that word had been in our history books ever since. Our aborigines, after all, are called Negritos. It's not as if the network chose that title to be an insult to the dark-skinned Filipinos.
Why bash this show when racism is more apparent on whitening soap/lotion tv commercials, hair straightening shampoo ads, etc?
I hope people would be open-minded about this show which stars the uber cute Barbie Forteza and Joshua Dionisio. It will premiere this coming February 14, Monday, on GMA-7's Hapontastic.
Remember the Red Mobile's Crazy Low Rates Promo I blogged about last month? Aside from the fact that I'm sure you watched Derek Ramsay's TVC over and over on YouTube because he's so hot and also because Red Mobile has crazy Crazy Low Rates, I hope you joined the promo as well.

Aside from ASAP Rocks and the Valentine concert with Concert King Martin Nievera on February 12 at the Araneta, she is also doing a movie with Gerald Anderson entitled Just the Way You Are. (We can almost hear Gerald singing the Bruno Mars song.)
The movie is a venture of Viva Films and Star Cinema since the Pop Star Princess is a Viva talent.
Sarah and Gerald are also happy with the way the Kimeralds (Gerald and Kim Chiu's fans) are supporting their love team. The Kimeralds actually threatened no to support Gerald if he would be partnered with other actresses other than Kim, but I guess they've opened their minds to the opportunities that await their idols outside their team-up.
As with the talks about Sarah leaving ABS-CBN, those are merely speculations. As a matter-of-fact, Sarah renewed her contract with the said network before 2010 ended.
Charice attended the Women's Day Red Dress Awards in New York last February 8th and walked the red carpet together with host by Mario Lopez, Seal, Barbara Walters, Hoda Kotb who confessed that she is a fan of the Filipina singer.
"When she sang on Oprah that time, I have to tell you I stood up on my couch, applauded alone in my living room because I thought she sang like an angel," relates Hoda.
E! News host Giuliana Rancic was also looking forward to see Charice perform. She says, "I'm excited to see her perform tonight. I've never seen her perform so I'm very excited."
Charice performed the big songs she used to do like Whitney Houston's I Have Nothing and I Will Always Love You, and Gloria Gaynor's I Will Survive. As always, she didn't fail to deliver, reason for a standing ovation from the audience.
The Red Dress Awards recognizes and honors those who have made strides against heart disease. It's a campaign close to Charice's heart because one of her siblings died of heart disease.
"It's really important because I want not only the women but all the people around the world to take care of themselves, their hearts... I'm really glad that I'm part of this charity event."
Watch Charice at the Women's Day Red Dress Awards below.
Charice confirms to Hollywood Life her return to Glee for 4 more episodes (now that contradicts with the earlier reports of 5).
"I'm doing Glee, of course," she told Hollywood Life at the Women's Day Red Dress Awards in New York. "I'm on for four more episodes, which is exciting."
Despite only appearing on the season 2 pilot, people have come to love her nerdy fashion sense. But would she have the same look when she comes back? Well, this is what she has to say:
"People think my role is kind of a nerdy one, so I think it would be fun for Sunshine to do something to transform herself and do like BeyoncƩ's 'Crazy in Love'. Like a diva, and come out and be like, 'Wow!'"
Are you excited for Charice's comeback to Glee? We are. But you can catch the international star on her GMA-7 Valentine special called Charice: Home for Valentine's this coming February 13, 2011, Sunday, at 8:30 PM.
Happy Yipee Yehey! is ABS-CBN's newest show to pilot this Saturday, February 12th.
After Pilipinas Win na Win failed to capture the hearts of the televiewers, ABS-CBN decided to just move Showtime's timeslot and temporarily made it the network's noontime show.
What we didn't know is that they were cooking something up and they took the time to really make it a sure hit to the televiewers.
Happy Yipee Yehey! boasts of big stars as its main hosts. Ace program host Toni Gonzaga is joined by her Pinoy Big Brother co-host Mariel Rodriguez plus Randy Santiago and John Estrada who are both experts in hosting noontime shows. Randy was the main host of GMA-7's 80s noontime show Lunch Date which later became SST. He also hosted ABS-CBN's noontime show MTB together with John and Willie Revillame during the show's run.
Pinoy Big Brother Double Up winner Melai Cantiveros is also in the show as well as the beauty queen-turned-actress Bianca Manalo. It's good that they put Melai on this show rather than Pokwang because the public (IMO) doesn't find her funny anymore. Melai puts in a new flavor. Let's just hope she'd learn how to talk a little slower when hosting.
It's also good to know that Bianca has a new show since her afternoon comedy drama, Juanita Banana, will soon end.
Bentong and the YouTube star Kuya Jobert are also present to add comedy to the show.
Every guilty person is his own hangman.
Hayden Kho became the subject of Sharon Cuneta's tirade when the former tweeted:
“There’s a billboard ad in Edsa developed by advertisers who think consumers are stupid. Guess.”
Many thought it was the Megastar's Marie France billboard that the controversial celebrity doctor was referring to. After all, many believed that the "after" imager in the Marie France ad was Photoshopped.
In an interview with PEP, Sharon commented on the said tweet with as follows:
“Kung totoo ‘yon, ang kapal ng mukha niya!
“As far as I’m concerned, stupid people shouldn’t comment on what is stupid or not! If I may add to that: Decent people are (the only) people I would like to listen to. Not those who do not know the meaning of decency. And who treat women like they’re nothing! Excuse me!” She added, “You want to start a war with me? You? Fix all your problems first”, Cuneta continued.
But was it really the Marie France ad that Hayden was referring to? Here's Hayden's reply to Sharon's statements via his Twitter account:
“Wow. I wasn’t referring to MF. I was referring to a certain L**D, that’s supposed to be “LOURDES”. Dahan dahan naman po.”
But who would really believe that the ad wasn't Photoshopped? We saw the megastar in concert last month and here she was:
Kim Chiu and Gerald Anderson, although not together in pics, are both on Bench Summer 2011: Return to Temptation campaign.
Kim looks like a mannequin stranded in an island in a white tank top and wet hair.
Her reunion with Gerald Anderson in Your Song Presents: Kim last Sunday made the Kimeralds crave for more.
Gerald, in a separate pic, is as handsome as ever in a yellow tee and shorts.
Dubbed as the Action Drama Prince, Gerald is set to do Bagwis with Jewel Mische as his new leading lady on television. He is also currently doing a movie with Sarah Geronimo.
The leading men from Sabel pose for the Bench Summer 2011: Return to Temptation campaign. AJ Perez and Joseph Marco sport flat knits from the label.
Meanwhile, the young Kapamilya singer/actor Sam Concepcion is flanked by Kapuso artists Geoff Taylor, Steven Silva, and Sarah Lahbati.
Sam is set to front act the Taylor Swift concert not only here in Manila but on her entire Asian tour. Sam is said to be personally handpicked by Taylor. Time to conquer a bigger audience, Sam. After all, your runner-up in Little Big Star has already conquered the world.
Geoff, on the other hand, is in the cast of the upcoming GMA-7 Pinoy fantasy series, Captain Barbell: Ang Pagbabalik which would star Richard Gutierrez, while StarStruck V winners Steven and Sarah are busy with their respective soap operas – Steven with Koreana and Sarah with Little Star.
Jon Avila and Rafael Rosell are both wet and sexy in their undies for the Bench Summer 2011: Return to Temptation campaign.
Both Jon Avila and Rafael Rosell started as models. They were also both part of the defunct ABS-CBN boy group called Coverboys, which is the local (and) tamer version of the Chippendales. The Coverboys held a lot of concerts here and abroad and the members were a hit to the female and gay crowd. What with their well-defined bodies and mestizo looks plus their willingness to shed those clothes?
Jon is currently part of TV5’s Sunday noontime variety show PO5. Rafael, on the other hand, is one of the main cast of Precious Hearts Romances Presents: Kristine.
Cute boys get into their skimpiest clothing for the Bench Summer 2011: Return to Temptation campaign.
Jome Silayan, who is one of Marian Rivera’s leading men in the upcoming GMA-7 primetime series Amaya, is dashing in a yellow-and-green boxer briefs while sitting on a motor bike behind Paulo Avelino who is so boyishly sexy in red boxers with white lining. Paulo is currently one of the leads in GMA-7’s afternoon series Alakdana.
Pinoy Big Brother: Double Up runner-up Paul Jake Castillo is shirtless with a life buoy while inset is (again) Paulo Avelino in green briefs posing as a fisherman complete with a fishing net.
Meanwhile, Miko Raval, JayR, Ron Morales, and Franco Daza get all smiles in their undies showing off their hot bods.
Filipino singer Sofronio Vasquez was named the winner of The Voice season 26. The results show was held Wednesday morning (Manila time) and ...
