Charice will be on GMA-7’s Mel & Joey tomorrow night, Sunday, February 6th. It’s for the promo of her Valentine special on the network set to air on February 13th. Joey de Leon also gets to talk with the international pop star. The interview covers Charice’s international career to her lifestyle abroad to her lovelife.
We all know that Oprah wants Charice to put her lovelife on hold so she could focus on her career, well at least that’s what the young singer says. But is that really it?
I was watching Juicy last night (the re-run) when the hosts talked about that statement of Charice, plus the incident before the MOA concert when Charice didn’t entertain the press (read: she had bodyguards and she didn’t answer the questions the media people were asking). Her reason: Oprah says no interviews.
According to Cristy Fermin, one of the hosts of Juicy, the teen star should not forget where she came from (read: she should entertain the press even on times when her manager (or the “Charice team” as she calls it) tells her “no interviews.” Cristy even goes on to say “’Wag s’yang mag-Oprah-Oprah” here in the Philippines.
My two cents: Charice is aimed for the bigger international market. If that’s their way in the US, then so be it. After all, she’s not doing anything bad. The girl is making us proud by being popular internationally and she wouldn’t have made it if not for her “Charice team.”
Giver her a break. It’s not easy to fly back and forth Manila and LA and then performing within hours after arrival. I’m sure not many of us can do that.
Cristy Fermin's words doesn't weigh a thing. She's an abomination in PI's entertainment press.
ReplyDeleteShe has made badmouthing as her way of earning a living. A libelous person that she is mustn't be taken that seriously.
I kinda agree. And Juicy was so much better with just Alex and Icy.
