Aside from being in the Top 11 of Miss World 2013’s Beach Fashion, Miss Philippines Megan Young also made it to the finals of the Dances of the World.
Her Philippine dance was chosen from among the 125 candidates and she is one of the lucky ones who was given a 30-second spot during the coronation night to do their routines.
Megan took to the Miss World - Philippines Facebook page on Thursday to announce the good news.
“We rehearsed for Dances of the World,” she posted. “I'm proud to say that I was chosen to showcase my dance from the Philippines! I'll be showcasing a dance called Singkil. I am very, very happy because I get to share this Filipino-Muslim dance to the WORLD.”
Megan is joined in the Dances of the World finals by candidates from Chile, China, Dominican Republic, Indonesia, Ireland, Namibia, Nepal, Slovakia, US Virgin Islands, and Venezuela.
Good luck, Megan! May you bring home the crown!
