Angel Locsin took home the best actress award from the 28th PMPC Star Awards for Movies held at the Meralco Theater in Ortigas Avenue, Pasig City. She was recognized for her exceptional acting in the movie In The Name Of Love.
She bested other nominees in the category that include Eugene Domingo (Ang Babae sa Septic Tank), Judy Ann Santos (My Househusband) and Anne Curtis (No Other Woman).
Angel’s leading man in the movie, Aga Muhlach, also took home the top male acting award which he tied with Jorge Estregan of Manila Kingpin: The Asiong Salonga Story.
Also from In The Name Of Love and Manila Kingpin respectively, Jake Cuenca and Baron Geisler tied in the best supporting actor category. Jake was so happy as it was his first acting award.
