Star Cinema has released the official trailer of Ang Panday, an official entry to the 2017 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) starring Coco Martin.
Coco plays the role of Flavio III, the grandson of the original Panday, who will save humanity from the evil Lizardo (played by Jake Cuenca) who comes back from the world of darkness with the aim of destroying the human race.
Ang Panday is the reboot of the original Filipino action-fantasy story created by Carlo J. Caparas and illustrated by Steve Gan.
Fernado Poe, Jr. played the role of Flavio in the first few movie adaptations of the graphic novel.
Meanwhile, Coco also directed (as Rodel Nacianceno) and co-produced (through his CCM Film Productions) the movie with Star Cinema and Viva Films.
Also in the cast of Ang Panday are beauty queens Kylie Verzosa and Mariel De Leon.
Also seen in the trailer Mccoy De Leon, Elisse Joson, Agot Isidro, Albert Martinez, Jaime Fabregas, Gloria Romero, Julio Diaz, Awra Briguela, Carmi Martin, Dennis Padilla, Michael De Mesa, Eddie Garcia, Lito Lapid and Zaijian Jaranilla.
