'Maybe This Time' earns P100M in 8 days

Star Cinema's "Maybe This Time," which stars Sarah Geronimo and Coco Martin, earned P100-million in eight days.

The news was revealed by the movie outfit's advertising and promotions manager, Mico Del Rosario, on an Instagram post.


"P100M as of today! Congratulations Team #MaybeThisTime ! To God Be The Glory!" he posted on Wednesday night.

The movie opened in cinemas on May 28, 2014. It reportedly earned P20-million on its first day, and P60-million after four days.

Directed by Jerry Sineneng, the film follows the story of Steph (Sarah) and Tonio (Coco) who fall in love but get separated by their ambition and the need to provide for their family. They meet seven years later but Tonio already has a girlfriend, Steph's PR boss named Monica (Ruffa Gutierrez).

"Maybe This Time" is written by Anton Santamaria and Melai Monge. It also stars Ogie Diaz, Dennis Padilla, Marlann Flores, Zeppi Borromeo, Garlic Garcia, Minnie Aguilar, Boboy Garovillo, and Sharmaine Buencamino. It is still showing in cinemas nationwide.
