The Department of Tourism's new slogan that says "It's More Fun in the Philippines" trended on Twitter earlier today. It was DOT's move to also rely on social media to help push the campaign as they focus on the ambitious goal to attract 12 million tourists to visit the country annually.
It could have been better, though, if no one has used the slogan before. The above photo (courtesy of Twitter's @harold_geronimo) shows Switzerland's 1951 tourism ad with the slogan that reads like the new Philippine tourism slogan that has just been launched - "It's more fun in Switzerland!"
The Philippine tourism slogan was "created" by advertising firm BBDO Guerrero | Proximity Philippines. It was also the firm that created the "WOW Philippines: More than the Usual" brand campaign that was previously used by the department.
Now, as they say on Twitter, who's the copycat?

If Supreme Court justices can plagiarize their rulings, why can this ad agency BBDO Guerrero | Proximity Philippines not shamelessly copy another country's slogan? GO, BBDO, GO!!!
