Andi Eigenmann is indeed pregnant! That's according to her mom, award-winning actress Jaclyn Jose, in an interview with ABS-CBN's TV Patrol on June 29, 2011.
A teary-eyed Jaclyn Jose faced the camera to confirm her daughter's pregnancy. "I just want to tell everyone that yes it's true, my daughter is pregnant," said the actress who took a break from taping an episode of Maalaala Mo Kaya in Antipolo to talk to Mario Dumawal, the evening news' showbiz correspondent.
Andi, who turned 21 just last June 25, is exactly 18 weeks and 2 days pregnant as of the interview. And to the questions as to who the father of the baby is, Jaclyn said that it was Andi's first boyfriend. "Wala na sila no'n. Iniwanan s'ya no'ng nabuntis s'ya. (They're not together anymore. He left her when she got pregnant.) I don't wanna talk about him anymore. Wala akong hinihiling sa kanila, ni ayaw ko silang makita. (I'm not asking for anything from them, I don't even want to see them.)"
Last May, news about Andi's breakup with 18-year-old Albie Casiño were all over the internet and the tabloids. If Andi is 18 weeks pregnant now, she was already about 12 weeks pregnant when the break-up happened. Could Albie be the one Jaclyn Jose was referring to?
In a Formspring statement last month that made their break-up more sensationalized, Albie was quoted as saying, "So much bullshit. I never hit her. Maybe one of her many boys did. Andi's a cheater kasi she has maybe 10 guys" when asked if he really did hit Andi physically.
But then again Andi was rumored to also be dating Jake Ejercito, the son of the former president Joseph Estrada with actress Laarni Enriquez.
Andi is currently one of the leads in the television series Minsan Lang Kita Iibigin where she plays one of the leading ladies of Coco Martin. She is also tapped to play the role of Galema in the tv adaptation of the 80s komiks novel Galema, Ang Anak ni Zuma.
We first saw Andi in 2007's afternoon soap Prinsesa ng Banyera. She then became a "house player" in Pinoy Big Brother: Teen Edition Plus in 2008, and a MYX VJ Search finalist in 2009.
ABS-CBN launched her via 2010's Agua Bendita, the series that made her a household name. It was followed by starring in 8 episodes of the weekly series Your Song.
Jaclyn Jose, as a mother would do, asked a favor to the public, though – that her daughter not be judged by this mistake, and to give her another chance.
