James Ocampo trends on Twitter

John Medina trended on Twitter Tuesday night, but not as his person but as his character named James Ocampo in the ABS-CBN hit drama Walang Hanggan.

The name James Ocampo trended on Twitter Philippines just as the episode that showed him winning the poker game was aired.

In the story, James Ocampo became instrumental in Daniel’s (played by Coco Martin) acquisition of the hacienda owned by Tomas (Joem Bascon) and Katerina (Julia Montes). As Daniel’s ally, James was the one who played the game of poker where Tomas put the hacienda’s land title on the table as a bet. The game was won by James.

John Medina may already be a familiar face on television because he was in the cast of the defunct TV5 horror series Midnight DJ where he played the role of Arthur, chief of police and boyfriend of Andrea played by Desiree del Valle.

With the attention that he got on Twitter (which, for sure, the network have noticed), I’m guessing he will be more visible on television soon.
