Iza Calzado’s wish to star in an episode of Maalaala Mo Kaya comes true this Saturday, March 10th, as she portrays the role of a woman who got caught up in a dying friend’s wish of getting in a relationship with the husband she’ll left behind.
She plays opposite Rica Peralejo who portrays the role of the cancer-stricken friend and Zanjoe Marudo who does the role of the husband.
From MMK’s Facebook page: “Iza will portray the role of Liza, a woman who got into an unconventional affair with a man named Egay (Zanjoe) who was paired with her by a dying friend, who was incidentally Egay's wife. Egay was reluctant at first but decided to respect his wife’s dying wish. Liza was also doubtful but accepted Egay because of her lingering fear of ending up as an old spinster.”
