Team Sarah - Knockout Rounds ('The Voice PH')

The artists of Team Sarah took the stage for The Voice of the Philippines' Knockout Rounds on Saturday, January 17, 2014.

Team Sarah - The Voice PH 2 Knockout Rounds

The first set of artists consisted of Monique Lualhati, Poppert Bernadas and Demie Fresco. According to their coach, Sarah Geronimo, she grouped the three together because they are the ones who give effortless yet powerful performances among her artists.

Monique sang "I Knew You Were Trouble" by Taylor Swift, exhibiting her vocal prowess.

Poppert belted out Gary Valenciano's "Natutulog Ba Ang Diyos" proving again that his vocal range is higher than your usual male singer. The performance was a little shaky, though, and it wasn't "effortless" like his previous performances.

Last to perform was Demie, the youngest member of Team Sarah. She did her own version of Evanescence's "My Immortal."

After the performances, the three other coaches had to name their individual choices. Bamboo Mañalac favored Poppert, Apl.de.ap went for Demie, and Lea Salonga said it was Monique's performance that she found effortless.

Sarah's decision, however, was what mattered, and she had to let go of one of them. She first chose Monique, followed by Poppert. It was the end of "The Voice PH" journey for Demie.

The next group included Jason Dy,Carol Leus and Douglas Dagal. They were put together because, according to Sarah, their voices are "nakakakiliti sa tenga."

Jason Dy sang Christina Perri's "Jar of Hearts," moving the live audience with his heartfelt performance.

Carol did her version of "Open Arms" which was originally recorded by Journey. She hit her high notes in falsetto, and it wasn't that good to hear.

Douglas sang the last, doing R Kelly's "I Believe I Can Fly." His runs were clean and the arrangement suited his voice perfectly.

At the end of the second group's performances, coaches Bamboo, Apl and Lea unanimously chose Douglas for his effortless singing.

Coach Sarah also named Douglas as her first pick, followed by Jason. Carol has been eliminated.

Jason Fernandez, Shaira Cervancia and Kokoi Baldo were the last set of three to perform in Team Sarah's Knockout Rounds.

Jason F. did Matchbox Twenty's "Push." The former Rivermaya vocalist's rock side came out naturally, bringing out cheers from the live audience and approval from the coaches.

Shaira did Journey's "Don't Stop Believin'" and while her voice quality was really good, it was a little hard to listen to her this time as it sounded like she's not hitting her high notes on point.

Kokoi was the last to perform with Tropical Depression's "Bilog Na Naman Ang Buwan." He can do reggae effortlessly and he left everyone smiling with his performance.

After the third group, coaches Bamboo and Lea chose Kokoi as the best of the three, while coach Apl chose Jason Fernandez.

Making the hardest decision of the night, coach Sarah named Kokoi and Jason F. as the ones moving on to the live shows. Shairah, who became a member of Team Sarah when the pop princess "stole" her after coach Bamboo didn't choose her during the Battles, has been eliminated.

Team Sarah is now down to six artists. They are Monique Lualhati, Poppert Bernadas, Douglas Dagal, Jason Dy, Kokoi Baldo and Jason Fernandez.
