British-Filipino Wins the World Youth Day 2011 Global Song Contest

Cherrie Anderson, a British-Filipino singer-songwriter, won at the World Youth Day 2011 Global Song Contest beating 200 entries from around the world. Her song titled Faith in You was the one played the most number of times among the entries.

Cherrie Anderson is the vocalist of Ooberfuse, an electro-pop band based in the UK. The band played for Pope Benedict when he visited UK last year.

Cherrie's song, Faith in You, will be sung at the World Youth Day 2011 to be held in Madrid, Spain this month.
