Miss World Philippines National Director Cory Quirino seemed to agree to the point of discussion as she announced that the Philippine representative, for the first time, will bring an interpreter to the international pageant that will be held in London on November 6th. The beauty guru said that she believes the contestant's answer should come from her heart, and she could only do that if she would answer it in the language she is accustomed to using.
Other Pinay beauty queens like Maria Isabel Lopez (Bb. Pilipinas-Universe 1982), Melanie Marquez (Miss International 1979) and Evangeline Pascual (Miss World 1st runner-up 1973) agreed to this move made by Cory Quirino. Melanie Marquez even said that it's the wisest and intelligent thing to do.
Miss World Philippines 2011 pageant night will be held at the Philippine International Convention Center on September 18, 2011, Sunday, with a live telecast at 10 PM on GMA-7.
With SM Development Corporation (SMDC) and Henry Sy as main presenters of the event, a luxurious seaside condominium unit at Sea Residences will be given away for the winner. The contestant who will be crowned Miss World Philippines 2011 will also receive P1 million cash prize from the organizer, Cory Quirino Global Quest Inc.
