Georgina Wilson Gets Criticized for Bashing Paris Hilton's "Courtesy Call" to PNoy

Georgina Wilson Model Georgina Wilson who became close to the hearts of Filipinos with her stint as judge on ABS-CB's Showtime has recently created a buzz with her tweets regarding the socialite and hotel heiress Paris Hilton and PNoy.

Paris arrived in the Philippines last night (RELATED STORY) and it had been said that she would be paying President Noynoy Aquino a courtesy call at Malacañang. Amidst the media hype over the socialite, Georgina took to Twitter and posted:

"why is PNOY taking time out of his "busy" schedule to meet with Paris Hilton tomorrow. So shameful that he doesn't have better things to do."

It was the tweet that received some bashing. Many said Georgina was just insecure, or was just bitter because she wouldn't have a chance to meet Paris.

After all the negative comments, though, Georgina seemed to keep her cool and explained herself via this tweet:

"I dnt mean to offend anyone or be negative I jst think that Paris Hilton isnt important enough for a president to meet up with.night guys :)"

And this morning, despite the still ongoing negative campaign against her by some, Georgina tweeted a positive message that was actually a comment on ANC's tweet regarding the president not meeting the socialite. Georgina's tweet read:

"go PNOY! :) smart decision :) RT @ANCALERTS: RT @Abi_Valte: President Aquino is NOT meeting Paris Hilton. NO courtesy call."

It was eventually learned that the said courtesy call was just a speculation of some. In a radio interview, Abigail Valte (Deputy Presidential Spokesperson) said that they weren't advised of any courtesy call.

Do you think Georgina Wilson reacted so soon? Or do you think she's admirable enough for speaking her mind out?

Comments

  1. It's a long-standing custom for leaders of nations to meet with famous pop icons and celebrities. We see this all throughout history, in various nations. It's called diplomacy, a boost for tourism, and a political effort to connect with the current interests of the people. Like how Obama met with Pacquiao. Georgina Wilson's statements are ignorant, uninformed, and the statements of a threatened, spotlight-grabbing opportunist.

Don't you just love how every single time Paris Hilton is now in the local news, Georgina Wilson is now ALSO mentioned alongside her? And don't you just adore how Wilson just so happens to always be available in full makeup to defend herself to the press? Georgina Wilson has managed to successfully attach herself to Paris Hilton at the hip, for the whole entire time that Paris has been in The Philippines! Talk about a fly riding on the back of a cow!

Paris Hilton shouldn't comment on Wilson's statement, at all, she should ignore it completely, BECAUSE Wilson's ultimate goal is for Paris Hilton to mention her in the international media, thus catapulting her into the Hollywood buzz.

Yes, Georgina Wilson, just like everyone else living in democratic countries, is FREE to have her own opinions about things, but the ignorance, irrelevance, and stupidity of her opinions are the causes of the results she thus has to deal with! Just like anybody else who voices a stupid and ignorant, irrelevant opinion. She's a public figure, so she can't make such comments and then claim to be unawares that people are keeping an eye on her twitter account. Of course the media has their eye on her twitter account, and she knows that. That's why she made those comments. And hiding behind the facade of "I care about our country" is bullshit. Since when has she started making any opinions about politics and the country? She didn't give a rat's ass about the country until Paris Hilton showed up! What has Georgina Wilson ever done to help this country? And does anybody really believe that making the comments that she made on twitter would have helped the country in any way????? She made the comments at a perfect time, by the way. Right before her new endorsement went live and right before she's announced on the local news as one of the "most beautiful Filipinos."
