Eat Bulaga! Launches "Jump Brother"

Eat Bulaga! launched Jump Brother on Saturday, August 20th. It is a new song that will be used in the show aside from the Eat Bulaga! theme song, much like the previous hits Itaktak Mo and Kagat Labi.

Eat Bulaga - Jump Brother

The creation of the song actually stemmed from the show's segment Juan For All, All For Juan where the segment hosts Jose Manalo, Wally Bayola, and Paolo Ballesteros would jump with the winners to help them release the tension/nervousness in front of the cameras. But "jumping" in the segment proved to have many uses. They also "jump" to make it more fun, and sometimes, to cut short the sad emotions of the winners and of the hosts themselves.

The term "Jump Brother" was adapted from the same term used in cursillos. From what majority of us doesn't know, Eat Bulaga! hosts Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto and Joey de Leon as well as Jose Manalo were cursillistas at one point in their lives.

Jump Brother was written by Joey de Leon himself (he also wrote Itaktak Mo and Kagat Labi) with music arranged by Gino Cruz. It was performed by Jose Manalo and Wally Bayola featuring Elmo Magalona, son of the late Francis Magalona. Francis M, as he was also fondly called, was an Eat Bulaga! host from 1995 until before he succumbed to leukemia.

Watch Jose Manalo and Wally Bayola featuring Elmo Magalona perform Jump Brother live on Eat Bulaga! on the video clip below.
