And we thought Albie Casiño won't have acting projects anymore after he was pulled out of Growing Up and Way Back Home. After his being involved in Andi Eigenmann's pregnancy, a lot of people threw negative remarks to the young actor. But whether his haters like it or not, it made Albie more famous as a celebrity.
He was gone for a while before we saw him on a Maalaala Mo Kaya episode to the delight of his fans. He was also quite visible during the recent Star Magic Sportsfest. And now that talks about Andi's pregnancy is starting to fade, news about Albie Casiño starring in a soap surfaces.
The soap is a TV remake of the 1980 movie Problem Child which starred Cherie Gil and Lloyd Samartino. It's not yet clear, though, if Albie will be playing Lloyd's role or a male version of Cherie's. One thing is quite certain, though, that we'll see a different (read: sexier) Albie in this series.
Albie Casiño will be joined in the soap by Yen Santos (of PBB fame) and Martin Del Rosario. Cherie Gil, who starred in the film and Andi Eigenmann's aunt, is also included in the project.
Now it would be nice to find out how the working relationship of Albie and Cherie would be.
Problem Child is set to premiere soon on ABS-CBN's afternoon block as part of the Kapamilya Gold.
