Chris Brown Spared From Imprisonment
Chris Brown reached a plea settlement which spared him jail time in the Rihanna assault case.
According to People, Brown, 20, will be sentenced to five years probation and 180 days of community labor to be served in Virginia. He will also complete a year of domestic violence classes, and pay fines. In exchange, he pleaded guilty to felony assault by means likely to cause great bodily injury.
The judge also issued a stay-away order which requires Chris to maintain at least a 50-yard distance from Rihanna. However, a 10-yard distance is to be observed whenever the two are in the same gathering which wouldn't be avoided since they are both top artists of the music industry.
In case of violation on the probation, Chris will face four years of imprisonment. On August 5, the court is scheduled to give a second charge for making criminal threats.
