Sharon Cuneta revealed to Philippine Star that she is now starting to venture into real-estate business. She’s currently building townhouses in a “nice place” near Tomas Morato, Quezon City and has bought properties in popular provinces.
She plans to make her recently acquired 2-hectare oceanfront property in Bohol a retirement village with the local retirees and balikbayans in mind.
She has also bought an 8-hectare beach property in San Vicente, Palawan but she’s still waiting for an airport to be built. She initially wanted to pitch in to help build a runway but changed her mind when she learned it would cost P900 million.
The real-estate venture has been in the megastar’s plans since the 90s. Although she grew up in a political family (her late father Pablo Cuneta was Pasay City’s mayor for so long), she doesn’t have any interest of running for public office. Her numerous travels since she was 10, though, made her also want to go into hotel and resort business.
The 46-year-old singer and actress is currently under a P1-billion contract with TV5. Despite the media hype when she transferred, though, we haven’t been seeing much of Sharon on television.
