While driving along the notorious Old Maharlika Highway in Quezon Province popularly called “bitukang manok” because of its winding path, three groups of strangers get lost and trapped by mysterious forces.
“Bitukang Manok,” is a story of the experiences of three groups of strangers who find themselves isolated by unknown forces. The film is a trilogy which stars indie actress Mara Lopez, stage thespian Missy Maramara, actor-musician Guji Lorenza, award-winning child actress Therese “Teri” Malvar and rising actor Ken Anderson (brother of Gerald Anderson).
The mystery-drama entry in the 2014 Cinema One Originals Festival is directed by Alec Figuracion, an up and coming director who is no stranger to the festival, having served as assistant director on the Cinema One Original “Angustia.”
