Bianca Guidotti shared on Instagram what could have been her speech had she been able to make it to the Top 10 of the recently-concluded Miss International 2014.
The speech reads:
Some people say that World Peace has become a cliché. But peace, love, compassion, understanding, these values are eternal. And now more than ever they are necessary. Let us have the courage to believe in peace again. Because when we believe, we act. As Miss International I want to create a movement of action. A movement I want to call "Adopt an NGO." I invite everyone watching, here and in your homes, to get to know an organization near you. Because together, piece by piece, we can create a greater impact and help change lives. Watashi no yume wo kanaerutame ni minasan no chikara wo kashitekudasai. (Please lend me your hands so that I may achieve this mission). Thank you.
The Miss International 2014 crown was won by Valerie Hernandez of Puerto Rico. Thailand's Punika Kulsoontornrut, the dethroned Miss Earth Water 2013, placed 2nd runner-up. 1st runner-up was Colombia, 3rd runner-up went to United Kingdom, and Finland was named 4th runner-up.
