Kathryn Bernardo, excited on possibly doing "Pangako Sa 'Yo" remake

Teen Queen Kathryn Bernardo expressed her excitement when asked about possibly playing the lead role in the "Pangako Sa 'Yo" remake.

Although she did not confirm that she and love team Daniel Padilla had already been cast in the project, she said she would be very thankful if it was offered to her.

"Kung bigyan ako ng chance na gawin 'yon, sobrang, sobrang saya no'n gawin. Isa 'yun sa mga classic talaga na teleserye. Sobrang thankful," she was quoted by ABS-CBN News during the presscon for a new endorsement.

If the rumors are true, Kathryn will be playing the role of Yna which was originally done by Kristine Hermosa. Daniel, meanwhile, will do Angelo, the character that made Jericho Rosales a household name.

"Pangako Sa 'Yo" aired from 2000 to 2002. Aside from Yna and Angelo, the series also created unforgettable characters like Amor Powers (Eula Valdez) and Claudia Buenavista (Jean Garcia). That said, it's also quite exciting to know who will the new Amor and Claudia be.
