Demetrio “Metring” Cuevas only finished grade four and grew rice in Batangas to make ends meet. Eventually, he left the province to seek better work opportunities in Manila and ended up selling pandesal. Through his perseverance and hardwork, he was able to open his first store called Cuevas Bakery.

While Metring is already a millionaire, he hasn’t forgotten about his humble beginnings. In “My Puhunan,” learn more about Metring’s success story as he helps out an old friend who is now bedridden with tuberculosis.

Metring and Luis used to sell pandesal together and dream of a better future, before they fell apart and went on their separate ways. While Metring saved up his money so he could open his own panaderia, Luis went to college and got a job, but eventually became an alcoholic womanizer. What surprise awaits Luis when he and Metris meet again?
