Kapamilya actor Matt Evans was arrested for allegedly assaulting his live-in partner, Johnelline Hickins and her brother. He will be facing charges of violation against women and physical injuries.
Hickins filed a complaint against the actor on Saturday night, saying he physically hurt her as well as her brother Juan Alberto Carlotta who tried to stop the assault.
Carlotta said he tried to rescue his sister, who gave birth just last month, but he was kicked by the actor in the face.
Representatives of Star Magic as well as lawyers were immediately seen at the Pasig City detention cell but didn’t give any statement regarding the matter.
Star Magic is yet to issue an official statement.
Meanwhile, Matt Evans is in the cast of the upcoming ABS-CBN afternoon drama Precious Hearts Romances Presents: Paraiso, which premieres on November 12.
