10th ENPRESS Golden Screen Awards (2013) winners list

The Entertainment Press Society, Inc. (ENPRESS) presented the 10th Golden Screen Awards (2013) on Saturday night, April 27, 2013, at the Teatrino in Greenhills, San Juan.

Bwakaw was most awarded with six awards including Best Motion Picture-Drama, Best Director for Jun Lana, and Best Actor-Drama for Eddie Garcia.

10th Golden Screen Awards (2013) Nominees

Chris Martinez’s I Do Bidoo Bidoo leads this year’s Golden Screen Awards with a total of 15 nominations, as announced by the Entertainment Press Society, Inc. (EnPress). The movie is vying for Best Motion Picture-Musical or Comedy, and its stars are in major acting categories like Eugene Domingo and Zsa Zsa Padilla for Best Actress in Musical or Comedy, and Gary Valenciano and Ogie Alcasid for the male counterpart of that category.

Neil Coleta and Tippy Dos Santos, who both won for their roles at the recent PMPC Star Awards for Movies, are also nominated for Best Supporting Actor and Best Breakthrough Performance by an Actress respectively.

Paulo Avelino apologizes for his bad joke at Golden Screen TV Awards

Entertainment Press Society (EnPress) president Jun Nardo accepted Paulo Avelino’s apology which the actor personally made during the last shooting day of his movie The Bride and the Lover on Monday.

The Kapamilya actor offended members of the EnPress during the Golden Screen TV Awards on March 1 where he received the Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series trophy for his role as Nathan in ABS-CBN’s Walang Hanggan.

Paulo Avelino won Best Supporting Actor in a Drama Series at the recently-held 10th Golden Screen Awards for TV (2013). He deserved the award, no questions about that. But has success gotten into his head already?

9th Golden Screen Awards 2012 – List of Winners

The Entertainment Press Society (ENPRESS), Inc. presented the 9th Golden Screen Awards (2012) on March 24, 2012 at Teatrino Greenhills.

Ang Babae Sa Septic Tank won Best Picture (Comedy or Musical) and the movie’s lead, Eugene Domingo, won Best Actress (Musical or Comedy) for her role. From the movie also came the winners for Best Director, Best Musical Score, Best Editing and Best Original Screenplay.

Aga Muhlach, who recently won Best Actor at Star Awards for Movies for his role in In The Name Of Love, was also declared as GSA’s Best Actor (Drama) for his role in the same movie.

Jean Garcia was awarded the Best Actress (Drama) trophy for her acting in Ang Sayaw Ng Dalawang Kaliwang Paa. Also from the same movie came the award for Breakthrough Performance by an Actor received by young Kapuso talent Rocco Nacino.

9th Golden Screen Awards - Nominees

The list of nominees for the 9th Golden Screen Awards has been released. Angel Locsin is nominated for best drama actress category for her role in In The Name of Love. She’s the only nominated actress from a mainstream movie. As we all know, actors in indie films have more freedom in portraying their roles and I kind of like how other award-giving bodies don’t pit mainstream and indie films against each other.

Aga Muhlach is also nominated for his role in In The Name of Love. He’s up against MMFF 2011 Best Actor Dingdong Dantes and Paulo Avelino for their roles in Segunda Mano and Ang Sayaw ng Dalawang Kaliwang Paa respectively.

Kapuso teen stars are nominated for their roles in The Road - Lexi Fernandez is nominated for breakthrough actress category, while Alden Richards and Derrick Monasterio are nominated for breakthrough actors.

6th Golden Screen Awards Nominees

Ploning and Boses dominate nominations of the 6th Golden Screen Awards which will happen on April 30 at the Metro Bar in West Avenue, Quezon City.

Both Ploning and Boses got 12 nominations each, including the Best Motion Picture (Drama) award. Other movies competing for the category are Brutus, Concerto, Jay, 100 at Yanggaw.
