Dennis Trillo topbills the upcoming independent film helmed by award winning director Brillante Mendoza. Titled Sapi, the movie tells the story of a group of young filmmakers who are making a movie about exorcism in the Philippines.
Produced by Solar Entertainment, the horror-thriller also stars Meryll Soriano and Baron Geisler.
Along with the national premiere of the movie Thy Womb, comes the news that its lead star Nora Aunor and director Brillante Mendoza won Best Actress and Best Director respectively at the recently-held Asia Pacific Screen Awards.

Nora Aunor received a Bisato d’Oro award for her performance in the independent movie Thy Womb.
Directed by Brillante Mendoza, Thy Womb premiered at the Venice International Film Festival last Thursday, and it ended to a standing ovation from the audience for more than five minutes.
Brillante Mendoza’s Captive will be commercially shown in the country beginning September 5, distributed by Star Cinema.
