'The Voice PH 2' - Suy Galvez, Jason Fernandez sent home

Two teams of "The Voice of the Philippines" season 2 were put on spotlight Saturday night, February 7, 2015.

The members of Team Apl and Team Sarah performed for public votes, but unlike last week, the voting lines were only opened for one commercial gap this time.

The artists of coach Apl.de.ap performed first. Alisah Bonaobra impressed with a song and dance number of "Laserlight" while Daryl Ong proved that he can be the next Pinoy RnB King with his rendition of "Smile." Suy Galvez made "Bridge Over Troubled Water" her own, and Mackie Cao belted out "Basta't Maghintay Ka Lamang" like it's her last.

Coach Sarah Geronimo's artists came next. First up was the barefoot Kokoi Baldo with "Could You Be Loved" followed by Jason Fernandez's hip gyrating performance of "Moves Like Jagger," both making coach Sarah stand up and dance. Jason Dy did the upbeat "O.M.G." and while his runs were great, his verses were almost inaudible.

Last to perform was Monique Lualhati completing the all-upbeat performances of the team. And because she was put at the end, we knew she'd be the most impressive. Aside from showing a lot of legs, Monique danced and belted out "Bang Bang" making her coach very proud, calling her a "star."

After each team's performances, voting lines were opened by hosts Toni Gonzaga and Luis Manzano for the commercial gap that followed. The two artists with the highest percentage of votes for each team were automatically saved.

For Team Apl, Daryl and Alisah were saved for getting the top 2 highest votes with 31.16% and 28.25% respectively.

Team Sarah, meanwhile, had Kokoi with 41.61% and Monique with 25.26% as the top 2.

Coach Apl had to choose between Suy and Mackie. He based his decision on stage presence and "heart." He chose Mackie over Suy.

Coach Sarah found it hard to choose between her two Jasons as she looked like she can't make up her mind. When she did, she sent Jason Fernandez home, picking Jason Dy to advance to the next round of the competition.

It's Team Bamboo and Team Lea's time to perform Sunday night. Same procedure, so if your favorites are performing tomorrow you better have your cellphones ready to support them.

"The Voice of the Philippines" airs Saturdays at 8:45 PM and Sundays at 8:30 PM on ABS-CBN.
