The Top 4 artists of Lea Salonga and Bamboo Mañalac's teams performed Sunday night, February 8, 2015, for the public's votes and their coaches' save, following the elimination of Team Apl's Suy Galvez and Team Sarah's Jason Fernandez on Saturday night.
Team Lea was first to perform with Nino Alejandro singing "Living On A Prayer," making his coach stand up and dance. According to Lea, what Nino showed was beyond her expectation. "Everything was perfection. That was awesome!" she said.
Nino was followed by a Timmy Pavino who sang "My Heart Will Go On." He did better the last time and it's perhaps due to his song choice. He, however, showed that he can sing those high notes. "Your growth is continuing," Lea commented.
Miro Valera did "Kiss From A Rose," dedicating it to his late father. His coach said the performance was "better than the last time" and he didn't waste the chance given to him by the public as he got the highest percentage of public votes during his first live show.
Leah Patricio was the last to perform for Team Lea and she impressed with her performance of "Healing." It was heartfelt. She dedicated it to her father who was the one who taught her that particular song. Her coach couldn't help but tear up listening to her.
Team Bamboo was up next and they started out with Rita Martinez who was originally eliminated during the Knockouts. Thanks to the disqualification of Joniver Robles that she got in again. She did "Sweet Dreams," maintaining her "cool" all throughout the performance, that her coach said that she made performing look too easy.
Rita was followed by Tanya Diaz with "Take Me To Church," a risky song choice as it wasn't that popular in the country.
Kai Honasan, who was also controversial for having been picked over Elmerjun Hilario during the Knockouts, did "Jealous" while playing the guitar. According to Bamboo, it was a perfect song choice for her.
The performances were capped by Renz Rapanot doing "Para Sa Masa." Bamboo said it was his favorite performance of the night.
The voting lines were opened for each team right after the last member performed. It was just for one commercial gap and was limited for just 30 votes per SIM.
The results came out after a production number that included coach Bamboo, the remaining members of Team Apl and Team Sarah, and the very sexy Anne Curtis.
On with the results for Team Lea, it was Leah Patricio who got the highest percentage of public votes with 40.95%, followed by Timmy Pavino with 24.37%.
The top 2 artists who get the highest votes will automatically advance to the competition. The coaches, meanwhile, will decide on who among the bottom 2 will go and who will stay.
For Team Bamboo, a whopping 50.78% was acquired by Renz Rapanot. He was followed by Rita Martinez with 18.10%
The judges' decisions were a bit predictable tonight.
Between Nino Alejandro and Miro Valera, coach Lea chose Nino to stay in the competition, sending Miro home.
Coach Bamboo, meanwhile, finally let go of Kai Honasan, choosing Tanya Diaz to stay.
