Miss South Africa Rolene Strauss was crowned Miss World 2014 during the pageant night that was held on Sunday, December 14th in London. She bested 120 other beautiful contestants from around the world.
Strauss was crowned by Miss World 2013 Megan Young from the Philippines. Megan also hosted the pageant night together with Tim Vincent and Frankie Cena.
Miss Hungary was crowned 2nd Place, while United States was 3rd Place.
Also part of the Top 5 Finalists were Misses Australia and England.
Meanwhile, the Top 10 also had Mexico, Kenya, Brazil, Guyana, and South Africa. Thailand was added as the 11th semifinalists for winning the People’s Choice award.
The Philipines’ Valerie Weigmann was able to make it in the Top 25 Quarterfinalists together with Bolivia, China, Dominican Republic, Indonesia, Malaysia, South Sudan, Vietnam, Finland, Ghana, Netherlands, Russia, Scotland, Sweden and Trinidad & Tobago.
