When a raging typhoon hits Manila, word about the world coming to an end spreads. Five men, among them two policemen played by veteran director Joel Lamangan and actor Victor Neri become hold up in a police precinct and the presence of a prisoner makes their current situation worse.
“Violator” is Dodo Dayao’s first full-length feature film and his entry for the 2014 Cinema One Originals Festival. Written and directed by Dayao, the film also stars award-winning actors Cesar Montano and Elizabeth Oropesa in special roles. RK Bagatsing, Anthony Falcon, Timothy Mabalot, and Andy Bais are also part of the cast.
One of the most recognizable names in local independent film journalism, Dodo Dayao says after “Violator,” he plans to accomplish his second feature screenplay and his first collection of essays.
