Angelica Panganiban, JM De Guzman travel to Sagada for Cinema One Originals 'That Thing Called Tadhana'

“Where do broken hearts go?”

Cinema One Originals

This is the question that the film attempts to answer. “That Thing Called Tadhana” is a feel-good love story of a heartbroken woman (Angelica Panganiban) struggling to meet the strict airline baggage requirements when suddenly a man (JM de Guzman) comes to help her. The pair then forms a friendship which would lead them out of the bustling airport and into the secluded city of Sagada.

Director Antoinette Jadaone says her film was inspired by Richard Linklater’s 1995 romantic drama “Before Sunrise,” about two young strangers who fall in love in the beautiful city of Vienna. Jadaone also collaborated with award-winning editor Benjamin Tolentino and Urian Best Cinematographer Sasha Palomares to realize her vision.

“That Thing Called Tadhana” is one of the ten competing films for this year’s Cinema One Originals Film Festival. It will be shown from November 9-18 at Trinoma, Glorietta, Fairview Teraces, and Greenhills Dolby Atmos Theater.
