Charice to Sing "Lupang Hinirang" at the Pacquiao-Mosley Fight

When TV Patrol aired their teaser about Charice singing at the Manny Pacquiao-Shane Mosley fight, we wondered if she'll be singing the Philippine National Anthem or the American National Anthem.

But thank goodness she's singing for Manny. We also wonder how much Manny would have to pay her for the appearance.

The Pacquiao-Mosley fight will be held at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas on May 7th (which is May 8th in Manila).

Xian Lim is on YouTube

Xian Lim, who's back on Showtime as judge this week, has wowed us once again when we saw him singing and playing ukulele/guitar on his own YouTube channel. He first amazed us when he showcased his capabilities of playing a variety of musical instruments as his "sampol" in his previous stint as a Showtime judge.

It's nice to see a celebrity who's so multi-talented he really deserves our admiration.

All the while we thought Willie Revillame is already retiring from television after the Jan-Jan episode of his show, Willing Willie, received some serious bashing not only from his critics but from government agencies as well.

But I guess it's just wishful thinking. On TV5's Paparazzi yesterday, Willie's co-host Shalani Soledad shared some info regarding the return of Willing Willie including a LED dancefloor that's a first on Philippine television.

Bb. Pilipinas 2011 Winners

Bb. Pilipinas 2011's pageant night was glamorous and well prepared for. The stage design was impressive and the hosts KC Concepcion and Derek Ramsay did a very good job. They were both fluent in the language they chose to use and had disarming charms that waiting for the pageant to finish till about 1:00 AM didn't become such a task.

Miriam Quiambao and Lara Quigaman, both past winners of Bb. PIlipinas, were also so glamorous and very effective anchors.

As expected, the one who got majority of the special awards did win the top title of the night. Shamcey Supsup who was Best in Talent, Miss Cream Silk, and Miss Philippine Airlines, won Bb. "Willing Willie" Goes Off Air

Willing Willie will be off the air for two weeks starting Monday, April 11, 2011. But is the TV5 show coming back on air? Willie Revillame said he will think about it over the Holy Week and will give an announcement after that.

Willie's decision to take a break from television was brought about by several institutions, celebrities, and netizens condemning the Jan-Jan episode of his tv show last March 12, 2011. It also caused several advertisers to pull out sponsorship from the show.

He gave a very long speech on his show last night, clearing his name of the allegations against him, going back to his ABS-CBN days and the several Wowowee incidents including the controversial stampede that caused the death of 71 people.

He also mentioned the names of celebrities who bashed him on Twitter including Jim Paredes, Lea Salonga, Aiza Seguerra, Agot Isidro, et. al.

In his speech, Willie told Aiza that she should know about child abuse because she started working in show business as a little kid.

Pia Toscano Gets Eliminated on American Idol 10

It was quite surprising that Pia Toscano was eliminated from American Idol 10 when most of us thought she's one of the strongest contestants of the season. Many Idol fans were disappointed and the judges could have had a better use of "Judges Save" had they not used it on Casey.

Another surprising thing on the episode was Jacob Lusk also being part of the Bottom 3. Pia and Jacob was joined by Stefano Langone who wasn't new to being in the bottom group anymore.

Jacob was the first one declared safe. Viewers thought it was Stefano who'd be going home, but to the surprise of the majority, Pia was the one sent packing.

Kim Chiu Gets a New Leading Man in "Binondo Girl"

Paul McDonald Sings "Folsom Prison Blues" on AI 10 Top 9 Performance Night

My personal favorite American Idol 10 contestant, Paul McDonald, sang Folsom Prison Blues by Johnny Cash on this week's Rock & Roll Hall of Fame theme of the show.

As usual, Paul delivered the song in his signature voice and (weird) dancing that his fans love.

Randy Jackson: I got three words... I loved it!
Steven Tyler: You're such a crazy character, man. A perfectly imperfect boy... You rock the house.
Jennifer Lopez: A perfect way to end the show... Right in your lane. Good job!

Scotty McCreery Sings "That's All Right" on AI 10's Top 9 Performance Night

Scotty McCreery sang Elvis Presley's That's All Right on American Idol 10's Top 9 Performance Night. The theme for the week was Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.

Randy Jackson: This is like a new Scotty, we'd never seen this side...
Steven Tyler: You brought Elvis into the house... You did it well.
Jennifer Lopez: You're having fun with it, you're funny... That's what entertainment is, it should be fun.

John Lloyd Cruz, Anne Curtis, Solenn Heussaff, Lloyd Zaragoza – New Greenwich TVC [Video]

Greenwich, the pizza and pasta resto chain, has a new TVC. It features John Lloyd Cruz, Lloyd Zaragoza, Solenn Heussaff, and Anne Curtis.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I think this is the first time Anne and John Lloyd are in the same Greenwich TVC. Kudos to that. And as usual, Lloyd Zaragoza is in his funniest. I find him really talented. I wonder why he hasn't been given his big break yet.

Regine Angeles Covers FHM Philippines April 2011

Regine Angeles covers FHM Philippines for the first time, jumping into the love pool for the men's magazine's April 2011 issue.

Regine was number 55 in FHM's 100 Sexiest Women poll last year. And now that it's that time of year again when you get to vote for your sexiest female celebrity, I think Regine's gonna rank higher even just for this cover alone.

Thia Megia and Naima Adedapo are Eliminated on "American Idol 10"

Thia Megia and Naima Adedapo has just been eliminated from American Idol 10. The show had to remove two contestants because no one was eliminated last week. The judges used "Idol Save" on Casey Abrams.

Paul McDonald joined Thia and Naima on the Bottom 3 but he was immediately saved.

In tonight's episode, the contestants were divided in several groups instead of the usual production number. Lauren Alaina and Scotty McCreery were the first to perform a duet, followed by Jacob Lusk and Naima. Thia, Haley Reinhart, and Pia Toscano did Teenage Dream, and the four remaining boys – James Durbin, Paul, Casey, and Stefano Langone - did a band performance with each of them playing an instrument.

It's just sad that Thia only get little singing parts in every production number. Tonight, she got the whole bridge, but with the other two girls singing along with her.

Oh, well, goodluck Thia. We hope you have more opportunities after AI.
