PBB Double Up - Force Eviction

The new girls of House A was given a chance to have another male housemate from the other house. The chance was given to them to even out gender distribution in their house. It can be noted that they're mostly girls in House A, and that is why Kuya was so keen on putting another male in House A.

The thing was, the girls had to kiss the House B male housemate that they want on the forehead while he was sleeping. And of course he shouldn't see them or know what they were doing while they were putting on those 2 kissmarks.

They're choice was Paul Jake, and based on the rating they gave the male housemates in the adjoining house, their least preferred male housemate in House B was Rob.

It seemed that Paul Jake was a light sleeper, and the girls weren't able to put on him those kissmarks. As a result, they got their least preferred - Rob.

The new House B, likewise, got to choose between Carol and Yhel because majority of House B were men.

House B chose Carol! She was so sad, though, because she would miss Hermes and also, she never got to tell him she was sorry for calling him a flirt.

----------

A mock interview was also done to choose who among them would be sent to one of the five other Big Brother shows that were currently airing in different countries.

But of course, the housemates thought it was the real thing so they prepared hard - outfit and all - for the event.

----------

To cap the night, the first housemate to be force evicted was confirmed. Yhel was yet again found guilty of talking about the nominations despite the fact that she's always being reminded (and punished) for that.

SP: Palau - Amanda Wins Immunity

Immunity Challenge.
The winner will also get the chance to talk to his/her loved ones here in the Philippines for 15 minutes. Shaun was very emotional when he got to see a video message from his wife. It also made him so determined to win the challenge.
The castaways will stand on a raft with a pail of water on top of their heads. They could use both hands in holding the pail but after 30 minutes, only 1 hand would be allowed.

Jef's pail fell off first. Justine was next to give up because she couldn't bear the pain on her head anymore. Third was Charles because his hand holding the pail became numb.

In the end, Amanda and Shaun battled it out. But Shaun's knees wobbled, causing some water to spill out.

Amanda was so happy with her first immunity win. She also immediately called her aunt, even requesting for a Graham when she returned.

Amanda picked Mika to bring with her in calling her other loved ones using the Smart Pug & Talk. That meant Mika could also call her loved ones!

Jef was hurt, and she realized that Charles was right in saying that it's really just Mika and Amanda. No Jef included.

The castaways had a visitor - a castaway from Season 1 most famous for his kontrabida image. Used to be tagged as the Bad Boy of Primetime, Marlon would sleep at the Sorsorol camp.

Will he bring inspiration to the Top 6? Or is he going to play with their tactics?

SP: Palau - Flattery Over Ice Cream

Justine was both shocked and overwhelmed that Shaun chose her to share the reward with. It’s her first time to be on a helicopter, much more, a helicopter ride that would give her a tour of all of Palau.

The two of them were taken to an island where they were treated to an ice cream feast. And of course, Shaun made the move to get Justine’s confidence. He even said that the nicest way to end the show is to have the first cast-off become the sole survivor. Flattery went a long way, too, because Justine seemed to become more convinced when Shaun said that if ever she won, she’d be the most beautiful sole survivor so far.

It seemed though that Justine was just very good in putting up a front, because she’s still true to her alliances Jef and Charles. They wanted either Mika or Shaun out. If one of the two got the immunity, then they’d vote the other out, and vice versa.

Jef and Charles, perceived to be two of the weakest from the very start, look like on top of the game now. Charles got the Immunity once, and Jef was almost always among the front runners during challenges.

Immunity Challenge tomorrow is another endurance test. Something that involves a bucket and a raft. Will Mika win so that her Red Pearl won’t have any effect in the next Tribal Council?

Jason Castro's New Album

american-idol-jason-castro-debut-cd
Things seem to be looking up for our favorite American Idol 7 contestant, Jason Castro. He is currently busy promoting his first album which will be released on November 17th. He released a single a couple of months ago, entitled "Let's Just Fall in Love Again" and he's singing that on the mall tours he's currently doing. The tour ends in Ontario on November 15th. To pre-order his album, visit his website by clicking here.

Here's the official music video of “Let’s Just Fall in Love Again”

SP: Palau - Shaun Wins Reward

Everyone missed Suzuki. Shaun even cried because his plans to bring Zuki up to the final 2 has failed. He even blamed Charles for Suzuki's fate but Charles reminded him that he kept on telling them that the girls were going to vote for Suzuki. Shaun, though, insisted on using the Hidden Immunity Bracelet himself.

Shaun's point was, had Charles voted for Justine, the Transexual Beauty Queen would have been eliminated at once, avoiding the tie Justine and Suzuki went through.

Jef and Charles talked about who to vote for next. They're focusing on Shaun and Mika but it would all depend on who would win the Immunity Challenge. Jef said, though, that she thinks she wouldn't pass on the chance of Mika having the Red Pearl.

Reward Challenge
The remaining 6 castaways competed to win the Php100,000.00 reward. It's a long course of challenges but on the first part, only four will be chosen to go on to the next level. The first four castaways to dig their way under the cage, climb the net and jump over to reach the blue mats will be able to continue the challenge.

Mika was the first one out of the cage followed by Jef. Jef's improvised tube (the Sorsorol buff) though, got caught while climbing the net which delayed her a bit and exposed her right chest. But just the same, she ended up being the fourth to complete those who will move on, with Shaun, Mika, and Charles already on the mat.

Amanda was so disappointed that she didn't even made it to the first part. Moreso, because she wasn't even able to beat Jef.

The last part of the challenge was battled out by Shaun and Mika. Shaun had a good lead, though, making him win the Php100,000.00 reward.

SP: Palau - Goodbye Suzuki

The game is getting more exciting than ever, with the weak castaways (read: Charles and Jef) using their minds to strategize in order to survive. Jef realizes (for the nth time) that everything is just being fed to her by Mika. Good thing she realizes that before it's too late.

When the first 3 members of the jury joined the Tribal Council, Amanda was made to stay in her seat while the rest of the castaways go out. It's an activity where the one on the hotseat will have to answer Paolo's questions while the others are out of earshot. Everyone went through it but the most haunting part was Suzuki's turn. He knew he's going. And he acted like there's nothing he could do to stop that.

Shaun decided to use the bracelet so his 3 votes, the highest that night, weren't counted. Both Suzuki and Justin got 2 each and the first tie breaker was held.

Mika, Jef, and Amanda voted for Suzuki while Charles and Shaun went for Justine. Suzuki had to say goodbye. But before he left, he hugged each and every one of the castaways. The longest embrace went to Shaun. Suzuki trusted Shaun so much until the end. If he only knew.

The dreaded Red Pearl, which would add 2 votes against the person holding it, was given. And the recipient? Seemed like Suzuki carefully weighed things in his mind because he took time in deciding on whom to give it to. When he finally gave it to Mika, the chef couldn't suppress her smile. It's as if she was so expecting it all along.

"BandaOke!" Replaces "All Star K!"

"BandaOke!" is a new show that will replace "All Star K!" on its Sunday timeslot. Much to the delight of their fans, the new show will still be hosted by Allan K and Jaya Ramsey.

BandaOke! is a modernized version of All Star K! and boasts of a live band and a new breed of singers - Frencheska Farr, Jay Perillo, and Geoff Taylor - from the recently-concluded "Are You the Next Big Star?"

The game starts with two teams. Each team consists of 1 coach and 3 members. The coaches of both teams will have to answer a question to determine who will play first, the winner will have the option to play or pass. There are three rounds, and the team having the most money after the final round wins. The winning team members will then compete individually.

BandaOke! will premiere this Sunday, October 25.

SP: Palau - I Can Hear You

Shaun had stomach aches so he went out of their little shelter to unwind a little. Charles and Suzuki eventually had to go out also so the girls thought they were safe to talk about who among the boys to vote out.

Mika told her plan to the rest of the girls. She wanted Shaun out and she's quite sure Shaun and Suzuki had already found the Hidden Immunity. They had to make Shaun believe that the girls were with him in voting against Justine. If ever there would be a second elimination like last week, they'd go for Suzuki.
Little did the girls know that Shaun was within hearing distance.

In the end, Mika was still able to reverse the situation. She told Shaun that she only told that in front of Justine to make the transsexual castaway believe that they're not voting for her.

Shaun still trusted Mika after all that. He trusted her enough to admit to her that the Hidden Immunity Bracelet was with him.

Justine, meanwhile, was making a move to save herself from eviction. She told Charles that the girls were going straight for Shaun, and that he and Suzuki should do the same. But then Justine told the girls not to vote for Shaun because it was the obvious. Shaun would surely use his Hidden Immunity Bracelet making the votes against him not counted.

Justine was feeling the pressure. If Shaun would use the bracelet, the castaway who would get the second highest number of votes would be evicted. So she's trying to make the other castaways to vote for either Shaun or Suzuki.

SP: Palau - Charles Wins Immunity

Immunity Challenge time once again and the 7 remaining castaways were given body paints in different colors. They had much fun painting themselves, as much fun as they had hitting one another's plates. The plates also had 7 different colors matching the color of the castaway's body paints. The castaway with the most number of remaining plates at the end of the game, wins.

It was a triple tie between Suzuki, Charles, and Mika, so they had a tie breaker. The boys ganged up and at the end of the round, Charles had the most number of plates left.

Suzuki and Shaun still wouldn't tell Charles about the Hidden Immunity they found while the rest of the castaways were enjoying their rewards. But Mika felt it. She was sure that the two had the bracelet. And they wouldn't tell Charles because the two knew that Charles was tight with her.
The three girls - Amanda, Jef, and Mika - talked about who to vote out on the next Tribal Council. Amanda and Mika wanted either Justine or Suzuki. But Jef, though she didn't tell the other girls about it, was firm on Shaun. It seemed that she's having a mind of her own. And now she's saying that Suzuki doesn't know how to play the game and just goes with whoever they tell him to vote out. But she's friends with Suzuki and she doesn't want Suzuki voted out.

Rihanna - "Russian Roulette" Music and Lyrics

"Russian Roulette" is the first single from Rihanna's fourth album, "Rated R," which will be released November 23rd.

Rihanna - "Russian Roulette" Lyrics:

Take a breath, take it deep
Calm yourself, he says to me
If you play, you play for keeps
Take a gun, and count to three
I’m sweating now, moving slow
No time to think, my turn to go

[Chorus]
And you can see my heart beating
You can see it through my chest
And I’m terrified but I’m not leaving
Know that I must must pass this test
So just pull the trigger

Say a prayer to yourself
He says close your eyes
Sometimes it helps
And then I get a scary thought
That he’s here means he’s never lost

(Chorus)

As my life flashes before my eyes
I’m wondering will I ever see another sunrise?
So many won’t get the chance to say goodbye
But it’s too late too pick up the value of my life

(Chorus)

Alicia Keys - "Doesn't Mean Anything" Music Video and Lyrics

"Doesn't Mean Anything" is the carrier single of Alicia Key's album, The Element of Freedom, which is coming out December 1st.

"Doesn't Mean Anything" Lyrics:

Used to dream of being a millionaire, without a care
But if I’m seeing my dreams and you aren’t there
’cause it’s over
that just wont be fair
darling,
rather be a poor woman living on the street,
no food to eat,
cause i don't want nobody if i have to cry.
cause it's over
when you said goodbye!

all at once...
i had it all
but
it doesn’t mean anything
now that you’re gone
from above seems i had it all
but it doesn’t mean anything
since you’re gone

now i see myself through different eyes,
it's no surprise!
being alone will make you realize
when it's over!
all in love is fair I shoulda been there, I shoulda been there, I shoulda shoulda.

all at once...
i had it all
but
it doesn’t mean anything
now that you’re gone
from above seems i had it all
but it doesn’t mean anything
since you’re gone

I know I pushed you away
What can I do that would save our love
Take these material things
They don’t mean nothing
Its you that I want
All at once...
I had it all
But it doesn’t mean anything
Now that you’re gone
From above,
Seems I had it all
But it doesn’t mean anything
Since you’re gone

All at once...
I had it all
But it doesn’t mean anything
Now that you’re gone
From above,
Seems I had it all
But it doesn’t mean anything
Since you’re gone

SP: Palau - Hidden Immunity Found!

Justine, Jef, and Mika went to see the president of Palau while Charles and Amanda went for a boat ride.

Shaun and Suzuki meanwhile busied themselves in looking for the Hidden Immunity upon arriving at their camp site. Suzuki immediately saw a bottle containing another clue which said that the Hidden Immunity could be seen if one would lie down on a log. This gave them the idea that it's hanging on a tree. They didn't really have to lie down on it because Shaun spotted it right away.

Justine, Jef, and Amanda had fun talking with the Palau's president with the free coffee and muffins that Amanda couldn't resist. They also visited a chieftain where a feast was prepared for them.

Likewise, Amanda and Charles enjoyed jestskiing and being served like real tourists by no less than a Filipina waiter.

Shaun and Suzuki burnt the clues. They didn't want the others to see those, which would lead them on in thinking that either of them already got the Hidden Immunity. They even lied to Amanda when the latter asked if they found another clue leading to it.

When Justin and the gang arrived, they gave the muffins (a take-home from having coffee with the president) to Suzuki who got nothing from yesterday's action. Or so they thought.

PBB Double Up - The First Batch of Nominees

Princess and Jason are the nominated housemates in House A.

Jason's "bad boy" attitude and his inability to reach out to his fellow housemates made him the top pick with 7 votes.

Princess's aggressiveness which showed when she and Delio had a little fight got her 6 votes.

Meanwhile, House B has Jimson and Carol as nominees.

Jimson got the highest vote among the nominees. He was the one responsible for House B's failed weekly task and appeared (perhaps without his knowing) kontrabida to Patrick most especially when the latter decided to do a sacrifice so they could at least get 50% of their weekly allowance. Besides, Jimson's other half would still be in the house if ever he got evicted.

Carol got the lowest number of votes among the nominees. With 5 points against her, Carol was so emotional when host Toni Gonzaga talked to the housemates. Her naive, God-fearing, and conservative persona worked against her.

SP: Palau - Tara and Echo on Startalk

Survivor Philippines: Palau cast-offs Tara Macias and Echo Caseres were interviewed by Butch Francisco on Startalk yesterday.

And so many of us thought that Tara's behavior in the island was only because of homesickness, hunger, and the deprivation of stuff she's used to have as a "city girl."

But we were wrong. It's really her natural self. Too bad.

Disney's First Black Princess

Check out the poster of "The Princess and the Frog." The movie will surely inspire girls of African descent as it features Disney's first black Princess. What took them so long to come up with the idea, anyway? They have Asian, French, and so on. But this is the first time that they feature a black princess.

It features the voices of Anika Noni Rose as the princess Tiana, Oprah Winfrey as Tiana's mother, and Bruno Campos as the Prince Naveen (the frog), among others.

The movie will premiere in New York and L.A. on November 25th and will soon after be released widely on December 11th.

SP: Palau - Tara and Echo Say Goodbye

Not one, but two castaways were eliminated from tonight's episode.

Tara got majority of the votes during the night's first elimination. She was so bitter on her exit interview she even threatened to kill Charles and called Mika "plastik."

The castaways thought the night was over when Paolo instructed Justine to read what's written on the scroll she acquired for being the first runner-up at the most recent Immunity Challenge. The scroll gave her immunity on the 2nd Tribal Council of the night.

The castaways were made to look at the ceiling and were forbidden to talk to anyone so they couldn't plan who to vote out. But it seemed that they were thinking as one because Echo got the most number of votes.

Echo couldn't help but cry but said she wasn't angry that she's voted out. She's sad, though, for the fact that the dream to win was taken away from her. Echo said she only showed her true self to her fellow castaways, and realized that it's not always the best thing to do.

Shakira "Did It Again" on "Dancing with the Stars"

Shakira performed her new single "Did It Again" on Dancing with the Stars. The crowd cheered everytime she performed her sexy hip-shaking moves. No one can really do that like Shakira.

We especially love the Japanese theme. The choreography was brilliant.

Shakira also sang her "Grammy-winning global hit" "Hips Don't Lie."

It was in this results show that they announced Jake Pavelka as the next star of The Bachelor.

SP: Palau - Suzuki Wins Immunity

Suzuki won the Immunity Challenge. He still had the White Pearl as a token from Marvin's eviction and he had a choice to give it to someone else. The White Pearl will deduct one vote from the person holding it during the Tribal Council.

Justine, who was the last one to give up the Pandango before Suzuki, got the scroll Paolo told them about before the Immunity Challenge started. The catch, Justine couldn't open it until during the next Tribal Council. Opening it beforehand will cause her automatic eviction.
It rained hard the night after the Immunity Challenge and Justine's shelter proved not to be as water proof. But despite not being able to sleep well because of the rain, Suzuki was up first the next morning. He woke Charles up so they could talk about the second clue he found on the shore the day before.

When Shaun woke up and was searching for a place to do number 2, he spotted Suzuki and Charles talking. The two also saw Shaun approaching and they hid in the woods to talk about what to do. Suzuki, sincere person as he was, decided to tell Shaun about the clue he found. Also, he talked to Shaun about their supposed alliance. Shaun told Suzuki and Charles that he's with them but Charles wasn't convinced.

Jef, on the other hand, was beginning to have second thoughts on Shaun. The feeling started when she noticed that Shaun suddenly became the one in control. Shaun got the boys to side with him, and he also got the girls' trust.

Tara was also making alliances - with Suzuki and Charles, with Justine, and with Echo.

Will Shaun find the Hidden Immunity? Will they vote Tara out as planned? What will Jef's reaction be when she sees Marvin all cleaned up as the first jury? We'll find out tomorrow at the Tribal Council.

Chris Pine as the Next Jack Ryan

Star Trek hottie Chris Pine is in negotiations with Paramount to play the role of Tom Clancy's famous CIA agent, Jack Ryan.

The character of Jack Ryan had been played by Alec Baldwin in 1990's "The Hunt for Red October," Harrison Ford twice in 1992's "Patriot Games" and 1994's "Clear and Present Danger." The last one who played Jack Ryan was Ben Affleck in 2002's "The Sum of All Fears".

George Clooney was earlier rumored wanting to play Jack Ryan but Paramount wasn't sure at that time about the franchise.

Chris Pine is slowly becoming one of Hollywood's biggest actors from playing Anne Hathaway's love interest in Princess Diaries 2 to playing Captain Kirk in the latest Star Trek, he is now going to play a role that only big names have done in the past.

Sunshine Dizon Pulled Out From "Tinik sa Dibdib"

So it's true - Sunshine Dizon had been pulled out from the afternoon soap "Tinik sa Dibdib."

GMA-7 has this to say:
"GMA Network would like to inform the public that it has pulled out Ms. Sunshine Dizon from her current afternoon drama program, Sine Novela Presents Tinik Sa Dibdib, due to health reasons.

"It was decided that Ms. Dizon's condition would make it impossible for her to perform as an actress. GMA Network advised Ms. Dizon to rest in order to fully recover."

There are rumors going around, though, that the real reason behind the pull-out is that Sunshine was always late for the taping. Some writes that Sunshine is pregnant. Others say that she's depressed due to a recent break-up and the real reason why she was brought to the hospital was overdose on sleeping pills.

On the other hand, Sunshine's mother says that the actress just wants to take a break and spend time in the US with her father. Sunshine also wants to study abroad and the sad part is, she's not sure if she would still go back to her acting career.

This is not the first time, though, that Sunshine Dizon was pulled out of a project. She was one time replaced by Camille Prats in Gaano Kadalas ang Minsan?

We don't know the real reason behind Sunshine Dizon's quitting showbiz. But one thing is sure - there is a big reason behind it.

David Archuleta and Charice Record a Duet

American Idol runner-up David Archuleta recorded a duet with Charice Pempengco for his Christmas album called "Christmas from the Heart." The song Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas was recorded in its original arrangement with just a little tweak to suit the duet.

The song was first sang by Judy Garland for the 1944 MGM musical Meet Me in St. Louis, but the more popular version was recorded later on by Frank Sinatra.

This duet, I'm quite sure will boost Charice Pempengco's popularity in the US just a little more. David Foster said that Charice captures the attention of older audiences but with this duet with David Archuleta, are we seeing a step to introduce Charice to the younger crowd? She was also lately seen singing Miley Cyrus' The Climb while playing the piano.

Listen to David Archuleta and Charice Pempengco's duet below.

SP: Palau - Hidden Immunity

The winners of the Reward Challenge, Shaun, Mika, and Jef, went to the jelly fish farm while the rest of the castaways search for the Hidden Immunity.

Amanda saw a bottle floating in the water while she and Echo went for a bath in the sea. Amanda really wanted to find it herself just so she could give it Shaun in case the latter didn't win the next Immunity Challenge. They were trying to make the girls believe that there really was a girls' alliance that's why they wanted to Shaun to always have immunity just so they wouldn't have to explain to the girls why they didn't want to vote Shaun out.

Shaun, Mika, and Jef arrived from their reward and the other castaways decided to tell the three about the Hidden Immunity. Echo, though, didn't tell them about what she and Amanda found in the sea. It's their mutual agreement to keep that information to themselves so they could have the edge in finding it.

Echo was starting to have doubts about the girls' alliance. She was starting to have another plan - Koror alliance.

Despite her agreement with Echo, Amanda told Jef and Amanda about the bottle and the clue it held. She also told Shaun about it the next day, even telling him that she wished he'd be the one to get it.

Shaun, on the other hand, was okay with the idea of the other castaways getting the Hidden Immunity. Just not Tara.

He and Tara was never in the same tribe before the merge so he really had no reason to go against her. But then perhaps Shaun wanted to vote her off because of what the others had told him about. That, or because Airai and Koror would be on equal grounds when Tara goes? Four versus four.

It's Immunity Challenge tomorrow. Who's your bet?

PBB Double Up: Let's Shower Together

Rob and Rica, who were tasked to play the role of couples were talking about their challenge/getting to know each other while Jason looked on on the other side of the pool. Rica told the Ladies Man ng Austria that she thought he'd be okay with their task while totally giggling like a school girl.

In the other house, Kath and Patrick, who were supposed to be husband and wife, were still not at ease with each other, especially that Jimson, Kath's real life husband was always looking.

Big Brother called everyone in House A to the Confession Room to tell them that their house would be the Morning House. House B, naturally, would then be the Evening House. Housemates in the Morning House would be more active and awake during the day while those in the Evening House will spend most of their waking hours at night. Big Brother did that to make the housemates think it's their weekly task when all along, the real weekly task was Rica and Rob's pretending to be lovers in House A, and Kath and Patrick's pretending to be husband and wife in House B.

Jason woke up to a recorded greeting saying "Jason, happy, happy birthday sa 'yo." It played non-stop until Jason woke up. The housemates knew it's the voice of Maja Salvador, Jason's celebrity crush. Jason was called in the Confession Room where Big Brother greeted him and gave him his present - 5 minutes with Maja Salvador. Jason got to kiss (on the cheek) and hug his crush while the housemates in House A prepared Maja Blanca for his birthday. Maja Blanca, no need to explain.

Rica had a lot of plans to make their "relationship" seem believable. They were so sweet on the couch while the other housemates looked on. Rob was just too willing to go with the plans, wanting to win the task.

Jimboy, the real husband of Kath, found it hard to see his wife Kath with another man, despite it being just a task.

To celebrate Jason's birthday, the housemates in House A had a little feast by the pool. Rica and Rob decided to just share a plate. Sweet. Not only that, cuz after swimming in the pool, the two showered together but made sure the other housemates knew about it. Quite a good plan that Princess was already believing the two were lovers.

In House B, Big Brother asked Jimboy for his wedding ring that he removed the previous night to avoid being noticed by their housemates as identical to the one Kath was wearing. Big Brother made Patrick wear Jimboy's ring. The husband and wife seem to find it hard to pretend, while Patrick is just going with the flow.

PBB Double Up - Rica, Math Goddess of Bacolod

A born achiever, Rica excelled in Mathematics. But despite the success, her life story's can be compared to a very difficult math problem. A transgender, she works hard to prove that she has a place in society, and therefore make her father proud despite living the life her parents don't approve of.

PBB Double Up - Patrick, Charming Banker ng Baguio

Born in Manila from a wealthy family, everything changed when Patrick's mom left them to go abroad where she eventually found a new family.

To get away from the pain, he went to live and study in Baguio. She met a girl who became his bestfriend and girlfriend as well. He wanted to have a complete family but his natural charm made him another chick magnet. His giving in to temptation almost cost him his family. Right now he still hasn't regained his partner's trust.

He had been married for 9 years with his girlfriend of 6 years. Will he also fail in keeping his family intact?

PBB Double Up - Rob, Ladies Man ng Austria

Good-looking, charming, and talented are the adjectives used to describe Rob. He's half-Pinoy and half-Austrian. But despite having Asian blood, he never experienced discrimination in Austria unlike other Pinoys who grew up outside the country.

A chick magnet, the 24-year-old hunk doesn't want to get serious in a relationship due to previous heartbreaks.

He likes music, he had in fact a heavy-metal band when he was in high school. In college, he displayed great potentials in web-designing. But he eventually entered the military where he excelled in marksmanship.

PBB Double Up - Jimson, Houseband ng Spain and Kathleen, La Señora ng España

From Spain are husband and wife team - Kathleen and Jimson. The two grew up in different cultures but it didn't pose a problem when they fell in love. Jimson comes from a wealthy family and he never gave up in courting Kathleen until she married him.

Kathleen, a nurse, was born and grew up in Spain. Jimson was her first boyfriend and first love. Her world revolved around him. But Jimson had an affair in the Philippines while Kathleen was pregnant in Spain. That incident made Kathleen a suspicious and jealous wife, which caused frequent arguments between the two.

While raising their family in Spain, Jimson does the role of a "houseband" due to unemployment. They want to settle in the Philippines but they need enough money to do that.

PBB Double Up - Patria, Bibang Probinsyana ng Siquijor

A Medical Representative from Siquijor, Patria can't seem to reach her quota because she talks to her colleagues more than she sells her products. She has joined everything from beauty pageants to pizza-eating contests at the malls and despite the happy mood that she always seem to exude, she also dreams of making it big to help her family.

Her motto in love: Men are like buses, if you miss one there's always another, and another.

Seems like our favorite Melisa has now a couterpart. Will they be put in the same house? We'll see.

PBB Double Up - Hermes, Reluctant Amboy ng Pampanga

Hermes, 23, is from the West but considers the Philippines as the best. He was born in San Diego, California but his parents are from Pampanga. He was shocked when he learned that they were just an "other family" of his dad. But instead of getting angry, he accepted his dad who had always been a good provider to them.

Despite being born in the US, he grew up and went to school here that's why he found it hard to accept it when they transferred to the States. He found it hard to adjust in their new home and that's the reason why he rebelled - a symbol of which is his long hair.

PBB Double Up - Steve, Dad of Steel ng CDO

Running away from hoodlums with his family, escaping to the province, doing the lowliest kind of jobs for a living - Tibo's life is just like an action movie. With a little drama, too, because his father left them for another woman.

But he is now a champion target shooter who's willing to protect his family from adversities. He'll do everything for his three kids.

Armed with determination, this 33-year-old is now ready to face whatever challenges life will bring.

PBB Double Up - Cathy, Charming Babe ng Bohol

Cathy comes from a broken family. Her dad left her mom to raise her and six other siblings. They followed her dad to Bohol but they found out her dad already has another family. Her mom eventually went to the US leaving her to the care of her older siblings.

Armed with determination, and despite being the youngest of the brood, she's the only one among them who finished college.

At 22 years old, she's already a Registered Nurse.

She celebrated her 22nd birthday last October 8 but since they're hidden somewhere prior to entering the PBB House, she wasn't able to celebrate her birthdy, much more, she wasn't able to receive a single greeting but herself's.

PBB Double Up: Johan, Cutie Server ng Q.C.

Johan Moriele Santos, 22, is a hard-working student and a good son and because he doesn't want to be a burden to his parents, he works as a server in a fine dining restaurant. He works hard not only for his studies but also to help send his other siblings to school.
Due to good looks, he often receives indescent proposals from the customers of the restaurant he works at. But he turns them down, valuing his dignity more than even a million peso offer.

He's hoping that being chosen as one of the housemates will give him and his family a better future.

SP: Palau – Goodbye, Marvin

marvin 09oct09Marvin knew it. When Paolo asked him if the original Koror hadn’t thought of eliminating the Airais one by one since they outnumber them 6-4, he said there’s no more Koror and Airai at this point of the game. He even said something about you really wouldn’t know if what the other castaways are telling you the truth when it comes to making alliances.

He also somehow knew what was coming because Jef avoided him the whole day, which was suspicious because the two had this special friendship going on.

Marvin had the chance to give out a Black Pearl and a White Pearl to his chosen castaways. The Black Pearl would add an extra vote to the person holding it in the next Tribal Council, while the White Pearl takes away one vote from the person holding it.

He took a long moment to think of whom to give the Black Pearl to. In the end he handed it to Mika. The White Pearl, on the other hand, went out to Suzuki.

SP: Palau – Poor Tara

After the Immunity Challenge, Sonsorol ate what has left of the feast from last night. Everyone was either talking or laughing aside from Tara who seemed to find it hard relating to the other castaways. Tara said she didn’t want to joke around a lot because she didn’t want to become the center of attention or be joked upon. But she’s so alone no one wanted to talk to her but Justine at one point.

The Top 10 walked around to explore a bit of the new island and were soon seen in twos and threes. Amanda and Charles were even holding hands while walking and talking. Charles gave accounts of what Tara did to him and Amanda in their last days at the Airai camp. Amanda almost couldn’t believe it but was so thankful she was never put in a tribe with Tara before.

Echo was so transparent with who she wanted to vote off. Charles also wanted to vote Tara out and Amanda just wanted to go with the flow. Mika, on the other hand, had different views. She wanted to vote off Suzuki so that Echo would have one less alliance in the old Koror. Mika also wanted to eliminate Justine and Marvin as soon as possible because they’re a threat to them physically.
Marvin found what Louie had written in his notebook – and it’s a poem in Tagalog, which the castaways found surprising. All along they thought Louie was a bully that’s all brawn and no brain. But listening to Marvin read the Louie’s poem, some of the girls were convinced that the personality Louie showed them in the island was just his strategy and not the real him.

PBB Double Up - JP Leaves the House

JP chose his airline job over his twin and PBB. He went out of the PBB House after just two days of staying.

JM JP's voluntary exit, though, threatened his twin's stay even more as JM's task of living in both House A (as JP) and House B (as himself) might not work. Or would it make his situation better?

Meanwhile, in both houses, the housemates take turns in sitting on the "hot seat" on Big Brother's cue. It's done so that the housemates will get to know each other better.

Most memorable ones are Jason's confession that he's had an affair with a prostitute and Mariel's tell-all about her life as a querida.

Also the most memorable and the funniest is Melisa's story about how she worried she'd get pregnant when her (ex)boyfriend kissed her.

The housemates in both houses were also made to paint their lovelives using a specific part of their body which was determined by draw lots. For one, Carol painted with her breasts (not her naked breasts, of course).

Other than that, each house was made to paint something that would symbolize their group and they would use a specific housemate as a human paint brush. For House B, Kenny (as Toffi) was the human paint brush, while House A had the lone girl housemate Princess.

SP: Palau - Shaun Wins the First Individual Immunity

Even if Tara was the first one to hug Justine when she was joined the merge, the Queen of Snake Island felt the tension in the eyes of the other castaways. She knew something was wrong.

Echo even commented on it by saying Tara was so “plastic” when the latter hugged Justine.

The first individual Immunity Challenge tested the skill, strength, and alertness of the castaways. First, they had to make a fire using a flint while their wrists were chained. After successfully making fire, they had to make it big using the provided materials so that the fire would reach the cord where the keys to the cuffs were tied. After the keys fell, they could unlock the cuffs and go to the designated mat. Only the first six to reach the mat would move forward in the challenge. Only Shaun, Amanda, Mika, Justine, Jef, and Marvin were able to move on to the next stage which was to search for pouches buried under the mud. There were only three pouches and the first one was found by Jef. Shaun immediately found the next one right after and Justine had the last one but only after quite a while.
Those who found the pouches would have to go to their designated canoe which was determined by the color of the pouches they got. Once there, they had to assemble a paddle before pushing the canoe to the water and paddling their way to the last part of the challenge. Jef was already paddling when Shaun was able to assemble his paddle. But Shaun immediately found his rhythm and overtook Jef’s lead. Shaun reached the platform first making him the first castaway this season to win the Immunity Necklace in the individual Immunity Challenge.

Jef was disappointed for not being able to finish the race but is nonetheless proud of herself for finishing second. Behind her was Justine who was still assembling her paddle when Shaun won.

PBB Double Up – We Love Melisa

The female housemates in House B already have their own interpretation of “Double Up.” And they’re smart because aside from the existence of another house (House A), they also somehow guessed that Toffi and JM, their only two male housemates, have twins. During the first time the twins were switched, the comic Melisa noticed that it’s not Toffi who came back from the Confession Room.

We can’t stop laughing everytime Melisa is on cam. She’s effortlessly funny especially when her housemates made her do a banana commercial over breakfast.

The housemates were also asked to donate things for the typhoon victims from the things that they brought inside the house. One of the things Melisa donated: underarm whitening cream.

Meanwhile, Yuri has this lovely persona and Carol reminds us of Bea from PBB 2. Princess is also so cool with the boys. They’re more relaxed in House A while House B is beaming with laughter. Thanks to Melisa for that.

imageJP (while posing as JM in House B) was called to the Confession Room for a talk with Big Brother. He’s in danger of losing his job in the call center he works for if he will not report to his superior. To make matters worse, if he would choose to go out of the PBB House, his twin JM would have to go as well.

JP told Big Brother how JM had several failures in life and he doesn’t want to be the reason of his twin’s next failure. But he has to provide for his family and he doesn’t want to lose his job especially that his wife is giving birth soon.

JP doesn’t want to fail his twin JM but he thinks that it’s now JM’s turn to give him the favor.

SP: Palau – Long Live the (Beauty) Queen

The 9 remaining castaways were ecstatic when Paolo announced that they’re going to be merged into 1 tribe. Everyone, especially the girls, screamed and hugged one another. Echo hugged Tara tight. If she just knew what Tara did in the Airai camp, I don’t think she’d still want to hug her.

Mika suddenly became happy and found new hope with the merge. “Being stuck in an island with someone you don’t really like, suck,” were her own words describing her life in the Airai camp with Tara. Now she’s reunited with three of her original tribemates Jef, Amanda, and Shaun.

Paolo took the castaways in a yacht ride towards Isla Debed where Justine and Cris made the shelters that would determine their stay in the competition. While in the yacht, the nine remaining survivors were treated to a cocktail party. They had so much fun and were able to loosen up with all the food and drinks prepared for them. It’s already dark when they reached Isla Debed.

Each castaways were given a tally sheet they will use in judging the two shelters. Echo instantly liked Justine’s with the fireplace in the middle of the shelter, while Mika liked Cris’s elevated floors.

The castaways will grade the shelters based on these criteria:
1. sturdy foundation
2. waterproofing
3. good floor plan
4. comfort
5. design
They will give each criteria a score of 1-10. 1 being the lowest and 10, the highest.

Before telling the 9 castaways about who made the shelters, Paolo first let them watch footages of Snake Island to let them know where the voted off castaways initially go. They were really surprised to know that Justine beat all the other cast offs. Then Paolo explained what challenge Justine and Cris had to compete on – the shelters.

In the end, Justine’s shelter got 322 and Cris’s got 181. When Justine’s name was called, the original Koror members were screaming with delight while the others were smiling but obviously disappointed that it wasn’t Cris who won.

SP: Palau - Justine or Cris?

Charles and TaraTara had another "trance" as she was so angry shouting to Charles about what happened at the Tribal Council. She's saying Charles betrayed her because he voted for Cris and not Mika, whom Tara voted.

Seems like it will never stop. Tara's talking is pain in the ears we don't wanna write about it anymore because it's so disgusting. Besides, words won't be enough to describe it.

She eventually asked for forgiveness but both Mika and Charles thought she's parang tanga.

Meanwhile, Justine and Cris were in the process of building their respective shelters. Justine seemed to focus more on style and function while Cris just did what entered his mind.

We will know who between Justine and Cris will stay for the merge tomorrow, as the remaining 9 castaways are made to abandon their old tribes and live as one group.

PBB Double Up - The Magical Reveal

Pinoy Big Brother Double Up had its premiere tonight and the 13 official housemates were officially introduced. There are two pairs of twins so I guess we can say that there are only 11 housemates? Oh well, that's part of the "Double Up" concept. But one more reason why it's called double up is that there are now two houses, and I guess we can say that the house doubled up!

The nine housemates who had no twin were divided into two. We can assume that one group consists of 5 members and the other of 4. One group stayed in the old house while the other group got to stay in the new one. But of course, each of the group didn't know there were two houses or there were other housemates aside from them that were not in the house they were staying. The twins were the last ones called since they were the only ones who knew what double up meant. As the program ended, JP was put in the old house while his twin JM was still in the confession room with Kenny. Kenny's twin brother Toffi was asked to go to the new house.

We can see four or five interesting personalities in this new batch of PBB Housemates. But we're guessing it's still too early to say.

Here are the 13 official housemates of the Pinoy Big Brother Double Up:

"2012"

After supertyphoons left so much devastation in the Philippines, I'm sure disaster movies will be a hit as everyone can relate to it.

2012
The upcoming movie, 2012, is an end-of-the-world tale much like our favorite disaster movie to date, The Day After Tomorrow. But unlike the latter which tells of a disaster that happened in the US alone, 2012 has the whole world.

"No matter where you live, no matter what you believe..."

2012 stars our favorite Serendipity star John Cusack, and is showing this coming November 13th.

Celebrity Duets: Mikaela's Voluntary Exit

The theme for tonight's Celebrity Duets was "Music Icons." The UP PEP Squad did the opening number afterwhich, Regine Velasquez hinted that someone's backing out of the competition. We were kinda wishing it's Mikaela Bilbao because her singing and dancing really make us sick.

Akihiro Sato, Jomari Yllana, and Joel Cruz were the first batch to sing.

imageRicky Martin was Akihiro's music icon inspiration. He sang La Vida Loca with Geoff Taylor, the winner of the recently-concluded Are You the Next Big Star? which was also hosted by Regine Velasquez. Judge Danny Tan noted that Akihiro was more relaxed and therefore, delivered his song better.

imageAerosmith was the music icon of Jomari who sang I Don't Wanna Miss Thing with Aia of Imago. Unlike before, he seemed to open his mouth more while singing.

imageJoel Cruz sang My Heart Will Go On with Vernie Varga. His music icon: Celine Dion. Tessa Prieto-Valdez said she enjoyed his performance.

imageBonnie Tyler's Hero was Gina Alajar's piece. Raechelle Alejandro sang with her. Tessa had fun watching her with all the scantily clad men as props. imageNiccolo Cosme's inspiration was Madonna. He sang the pop queen's Like a Prayer with Tuesday Vargas. Danny Tan said Nicolo started and ended the song off [key], although the middle part was okay. The judge also advised Nicolo not to be so serious and to have more fun while performing.

image Nonito Donaire did an R&B number with Brenan Espartinez. He was praised with "that was the complete number yet" by judge Freddie Santos.

image Lea Salonga was Maxi Cinco's inspiration as he did I Am But a Small Voice with Eat Bulaga's Wally. "Natumbok mo," were Danny Tan's words of praise to the costume designer. According to the judge, it was the best for the night together with Nonito's performance.

imageMeanwhile, we don't have to bear with her every Saturday because Mikaela bailed out of the competition, and it was because her doctor advised her so. Oh well, she still sang her swan song, Michael Jackson's Never Can Say Goodbye with The Opera.

The question is, though, if Mikaela didn't decide to back out, who could have been evicted? Could it have also been her?

And since the elimination wasn't based on the text votes, Celebrity Duets for a change announced the Top 3 this time (instead of the usual bottom 3). The Top 3 according to the text votes received were Jomari Yllana, Gina Alajar, and Joel Cruz.
