Marvin knew it. When Paolo asked him if the original Koror hadn’t thought of eliminating the Airais one by one since they outnumber them 6-4, he said there’s no more Koror and Airai at this point of the game. He even said something about you really wouldn’t know if what the other castaways are telling you the truth when it comes to making alliances. He also somehow knew what was coming because Jef avoided him the whole day, which was suspicious because the two had this special friendship going on.
Marvin had the chance to give out a Black Pearl and a White Pearl to his chosen castaways. The Black Pearl would add an extra vote to the person holding it in the next Tribal Council, while the White Pearl takes away one vote from the person holding it.
He took a long moment to think of whom to give the Black Pearl to. In the end he handed it to Mika. The White Pearl, on the other hand, went out to Suzuki.
