Alex Gonzaga will be launched as a movie star in 2015, as revealed by director Wenn V. Deramas in "Aquino & Abunda Tonight."
Wenn is the director of "The Amazing Praybeyt Benjamin" (currently the top grossing Metro Manila Film Festival entry), which also has Alex in the cast.
According to the box-office director, Alex's launching movie will be an adaptation of her own book, "Dear Alex, Break Na Kami. Paano?! Love, Catherine."
Released a few months back and already on its fourth printing, the book is about being single and moving on, based on Alex's experiences with her past relationships.
Direk Wenn also dropped the names of Luis Manzano and James Reid as Alex's possible leading men in the movie adaptation of the book.
"Luis Manzano, James Reid ata... Tatlong lalaki 'yung makakasama n'ya," the director said.
Alex has become one of the most visible Kapamilya celebrities since she joined "PInoy Big Brother: All In" as a house guest. The reality show stint was followed by "Pure Love," a hit series which made television viewers love her even more.
And aside from her launching movie, she is also set to do a TV remake of "Inday Bote" together with Matteo Guidicelli and Kean Cipriano. It will also be directed by Wenn.
