Empress Schuck confirms pregnancy rumor, reveals identity of baby's father

Empress Schuck has confirmed the rumors that she is indeed pregnant.

Through an interview that aired on "Startalk" on Saturday, the 22-year-old actress revealed that she is already three months pregnant. She also identified the father of the baby as Vino Guingona, her boyfriend for more than a year now.

Vino is a model from Zamboanga and the grandson of the former vice president of the Philippines, Teofisto Guingona Jr.

Empress specifically asked for Jennylyn Mercado to be the one to interview her. Aside from the fact that they are friends and they also have the same manager, Jennylyn also went through the same controversy in 2008 when she herself got pregnant at the age of 21.

In the interview, Empress narrated that she and Vino were together when she found out that she is pregnant. It was the process of telling her parents about it, though, that was the hardest.

"Sure ako ang mga nanay talaga may mga violent reactions talaga sa una. Siyempre hindi naman talaga maiwasan 'yon. Talagang hinanda ko na 'yong sarili ko, e. Siyempre nagalt siya, na-disappoint siya. Pero pagkatapos naman no'n naging okay na siya," Empress said, adding that her mom is now in full support of her pregnancy. "Nandiyan siya para sa akin. Okay lang sa kanya."

Aside from her family, though, the Guingonas are also there for her, especially Vino who has become even more protective.

"Hindi niya talaga ako iniwan," Empress said, referring to Vino. "Minsan gusto kong mapag-isa, sabi niya talaga, 'Hindi.' Kailangan kasama siya, 'yong family niya, 'yong ate ko, 'yong mga kapatid ko."

If there's an important thing that she learned from being pregnant at a young age and out of wedlock, it is the fact that she came to know the people who really care for her.

"Maraming nagmamahal pala sa akin. Hindi mo nakikita minsan,hindi mo nararamdaman.'Yong mga pagkakataong ganito, do'n sila nagsulputan. Ngayon, ramdam na ramdam ko kungbsino talaga 'yong  mga sumusuporta sa akin," she said.

As for the wedding, she said they don't talk about it yet because their focus right now is on her pregnancy.

Meanwhile, hours after the interview was aired, Empress took to Instagram to post a photo of herself together with her boyfriend.
