GMA-7's Imbestigador won at the recent US International Film & Video Festival (USIFVF) for their tenth anniversary presentation titled Smuggled Pinoys, Imbestigador Special Report on Human Trafficking.
Imbestigador was the only program from the Philippines to win at the USIFVF this year, besting entries from around the world in the Documentary: Television: TV News: Investigative/Special Reports category.
The Smuggled Pinoys episode exposed how Filipinos, mostly poor, are recruited and smuggled; how they are delivered, exported and sold to foreign syndicates like slaves.
Imbestigador is now on its eleventh year. It is among GMA-7's longest-running public affairs programs hosted by the multi-awarded broadcast journalist, Mike Enriquez.
The show continues to serve Filipinos through its "fearless exposes, hard-hitting investigative reports and compelling cases" every Saturday night right after Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho on GMA-7.
