Kapuso hunks Dingdong Dantes and Aljur Abrenica will star in an upcoming GMA-7 television series that has a working title of Cain at Abel. As the title suggests, the story has a reference to the Biblical characters Cain and Abel, the first sons of Adam and Eve.
The show will be shown on GMA-7's primetime block and I'm sure that alone will be a delight to fans.
Dingdong's was last seen on primetime via I Heart You, Pare, while Aljur's last primetime show was the short-lived television adaptation of Machete. For quite sometime, the two series were both on GMA-7's primetime block at the same time.
Dingdong and Aljur put together in one show is hotness for sure, but the big question is: Who will be the two hunks' leading ladies in this upcoming series? Is this the series Heart Evangelista was supposed to work with Dingdong? Or was that show completely thrown away when Heart and Dingdong's girlfriend, Marian Rivera, figured into a controversial misunderstanding?
I hope they put Kylie Padilla in this series, though. Her Tagalog is doing great in Blusang Itim and I think she's ready for a major role on primetime TV. Rumored to be real life sweethearts, Kylie and Aljur really look good together.
I hope that GMA will be fair to Heart Evangelista and still keep her as Dingdong's co-star in this teleserye. I have subscribed to GMA (I was a die hard fan of ABS CBN until Heart left) when they took Heart in their wings and have taken care of her. Please don't let me down now--the rift with Marianne stem from Marianne's being "selosa"-i moved to GMA because I thought you will take care of Heart--don't let me down now.
