ABS-CBN is finally airing the Erich Gonzales-Enchong Dee starrer Maria la del Barrio next month, August 2011, on Primetime Bida. The series is based on the Mexican telenovela of the same title which starred Thalia.
Erich Gonzales plays Maria la del Barrio opposite Enchong Dee's Luis Fernando. Others in the cast include Angel Aquino as Victoria, Ian Veneracion as Don Fernando, Paw Diaz as Soraya, Inno Martin as Vladimir, K Brosas as Carlota, Justin Gonzales, Tricia Santos, and Katya Santos as Chacha, with the special participation of Ai-Ai de las Alas as Casilda.
