After making P14.3 million on its opening day, the horror movie starring Kim Chiu has already earned P51.5 million as of November 5, 2017, five days after it opened in cinemas nationwide. It started its run in the Philippines on Nov. 1.
Directed by Chito S. Roño, "The Ghost Bride" is about the untold Chinese tradition of marrying deceased persons, and sometimes a deceased person to a living individual.
In the movie, Kim plays a young woman who has to take the offer of being a ghost bride to financially help her family.
Aside from Kim Chiu, also in the cast of the movie are Matteo Guidicelli, Alice Dixson and Christian Bables.
