John Lloyd Cruz was in the original cast of the upcoming television series, "Bridges," opposite Maja Salvador and Jericho Rosales, but he reportedly begged off due to "valid reasons."
Last month, Jericho refused to comment about John Lloyd's leaving the series because he said he's not in the position to do so.
Maja, however, recently talked about it during an interview, saying she regrets not being able to work with the "A-list actor," but he has his reasons for backing out.
"Siyempre lahat tayo gusto natin makatrabaho ang A-list actor na si Mr. John Lloyd Cruz, di ba? Pero siyempre may mga valid reasons siya, e, kailangan natin tanggapin yun," the actress was quoted by pep.ph as saying. "Kung soon makakatrabaho natin siya ulit, kung mabibigyan ng chance, mas okay."
She also revealed that it was Xian Lim who took on the role left by JL.
"Sinabi na ni Xian...[it was] announced that it’s him na," she revealed.
The plot of the series will also be the selling point, and according to Maja,, people will watch it whoever the actors are.
"Sa ganda naman ng kwento ng aming teleserye kahit sino na gaganap talagang magugustuhan niyo at magagandahan kayo," she said.
Her role in "Bridges" is very different from her "The Legal Wife" character. She wouldn't be falling in love with a married man here, but it's the men who will be fighting for her.
