Manny Pangilinan really wants to buy GMA-7

Manny Pangilinan confirmed the rumors that he indeed wants to buy GMA-7.

The chairman of TV5 and PLDT said that he began talking with the management of the Kapuso as early as 2002, followed by another talk five years ago. The talks, though, were very preliminary.

The rumor about Pangilinan buying GMA-7 came out December 2011. He allegedly offered a mind-boggling deal to acquire the network and the deal was allegedly 2/3 done.

GMA-7’s Felipe Gozon, however, denied it by saying that it was “a very wild rumor.”
